with so many players available, i decided the best way to pick a team was to run it through a randomiser, here is the result:

lloris
walker kaboul chiriches rose
sandro holtby
lamela eriksen sigurdsson
defoe
subs: friedel, dawson, vertonghen, dembele, chadli, townsend, adebayor

Where is Soldado? Not even on the bench? lol

for me attacking id like to see

Lamela Eriksen Holtby

Saldado (wrote sandro in error don't shoot I fixed it)

picked Holtby so he can help Sandro and Paulinho if things become stretched and the 3 are all changeable try picking them up lol

Get eriksen and holtby to switch position and I think youre bang on.

Lloris
Walker Kaboul Vertonghen NotRose
Paulinho Sandro
Lamela Eriksen Townsend
Soldado

This is what I would do, and having both Eriksen and Lamela would give us some much needed creativity. Paulinho as box to box and Sandro... Well, just destroying really.

Any news on Ade? I see he's come out fighting and has said he wants to be our no1 forward. I hope he means what he says and he wants to fight for his place, great for us if he can try and win his place back with some of his first season form, even if it's from the bench.

I think a run-out against Tromso (Wouldn't even mind a 4-4-2 to get both Ade and Defoe on the pitch) is likely before he even gets on the bench in the EPL.

Anyone know if any of our new signings have not been on international duty and have been training at the Club?

Soldado- on the bench for Spain
Paulinho- Started for Brazil
Vlad- Was captain for Romania
Capoue - Injured
Eriksen - scored for Denmark
Chadli started for Belgium

So just Lamela? dont think the game against Brazil is going ahead, and cant see them listed as having any other games

They're playing Paraguay tonight. Lamela is in the squad apparently.

then all of the new signings are away. It wasnt listed on Sky...

Not sure if the other players are training or have some time off.

Will be training - but it'll be a small group, so maybe training with some of the development squad ?

IMO the real significant point re Lamela is :

Lamela plays for Argentina in Paraguay tomorrow, Tuesday, so assuming he travels back to Argentina before flying back to London on Thursday (maybe a 15 hour flight), he might well not start on Saturday (but will do against Tromso on next Thursday).

Also even if he trains on Friday he's only spenr a couple of days previously with the Spurs squad so is not 'slotting back into the team'. To me all the signs are to be on bench on Saturday.

Paulhino played Monday so should be travelling back to London Tuesday, so should be back in training Thursday and available for Saturday.

Vlad and Eriksen both have short haul flights so will be back in training Wednesday/Thursday

Just looking at the players not involved in internationals - and its a fairly small group.

Freidal, Gomes, Rose, Naughton, Sandro, Lennon, Capoue (injured), Holtby ?, Adebayor (if back) ,....then Fryers and others in the development group, unless I've missed one or two out.

was trying to remember where i read they had a few days off. Found it on COYS. This was posted on the 7th of September

Guess who I met today? beast

Sandro Raniere was on my (Easyjet) flight to Faro, Portugal this evening. He travelled with a couple of friends, staying over here for a couple of nights whilst the squad have been given a few days off (his girlfriend is Portuguese).

If you're familiar with how he comes across in social media and seen him on YouTube, you'll be pleased to know he is as awesome in real life as he comes across.

There was a lot more to the post, but noting exciting

So there might have been one or two training sessions after the internationals went off, and a couple before they a rive back as well
