Quite honestly i want the same back 3 or 5 to play a few games in a row together, we need a settled back line and it's still early season fatigue is just a nonsense excuse at the moment, if Kaboul can't play three a week then i don't believe he should've been made first team captain TBH

I'd play around with the midfield a bit ideally keeping at least one of the midfielders that played with the aforementioned back 3/5 because i still don't think anyone really agrees on our best midfield yet.

Again ideally at least one of the front 3 that played with the others.

I'd definitely play Ade upfront because he either needs games or a kick up the arse so either play him in Europe and Soldado/Kane in the league or drop him entirely because he get's away with murder compared to what Soldado/Kane get abuse for.

Either way i'd like around five games in a row without farting around with the back 5 lineup (injuries aside)

Two up top i'd love to see, i'm fed up with the one up front inverted wingers en vougeness in football, maybe i'm getting old... jumpers for goalposts i say. :bag:

Plus any one of Soldado, Kane or Ade can drop back and play deeper if need be to turn it into a 4-5-1. Two forwards, certainly at home, or against 'weaker' teams I'd like to see.

But another way to look at it is Chadli (who already has been) or Lamela could push up and joing the striker when we are attacking to make 2 up top.

On a side note, I do hope the footballing gods will grant me a victory against Soton. Losing games leading up to an international break is fudging heartbreaking with two weeks of despair before the next game. The first game after the break is at the Etihad, so three points this Sunday would be noice.

Vs Besiktas:

--------------- Vorm

Dier --- Fazio --- Chiriches --- Davies

----- Stambouli --- Dembele

Townsend ----- Paulinho ----- Lennon

------------------- Kane

Vs Soton

----------------- Lloris

Naughton --- Kaboul --- Verts --- Rose

----------- Capoue --- Mason

Lamela ------- Eriksen -------- Chadli

--------------- Soldado

Liking those line ups but would be interested to see Dier at CB and Vlad at RB where he might not be in the spotlight as much. I still rate him as a player btw.

Back 3? Back 5? What sort of formation do you think we play?

What midfielder (in what game) played in our defence, let alone as part of a back 5?! Are you confused?

We definitely need to win vs besiktas.

Both games coming up should be very tasty. Besiktas will be tough and the saints fans seem to view this as some sort of derby.

I think tomorrow we will see something like:

Vorm
Dier - Fazio - Chiriches - Davies
Stambouli - Bentaleb
Townsend - Paulinho - Lennon
Soldado
Possibly giving one of the weekend players a run out off the bench
Then Sunday:

Lloris
Naughton - Kaboul - Vertonghen - Rose
Capoue - Mason
Lamela - Eriksen - Chadli
Adebayor
Btw these line ups are more what I think he will pick rather than what I would prefer personally. I would change strikers, have Ade or Kane Thursday and Soldado up top against saints

No you're just hard of hearing.

Back 3 i.e both CB's and the GK

Back 5 GK both CB'S and both fullbacks

#thfc Poch says Rose and Capoue are doubts but "not big problems". I doubt they would have started anyway though. Walker still out obviously

...play the backups in the EL, and shake things up front in the PL:

vs. Besiktas:
------------ Vorm
Dier --- Fazio --- Vlad --- Davies
------ Stambi --- Benti
Townsend - Paulinho - Lennon
------------Soldado

vs. Soton:
-------------- Lloris
Naughts - Kaboul - Verts - Rose
------- Capoue --- Dembele
Lamela ------ Eriksen ---- Mason
--------------Chadli

...this keeps the Ade haters and Mason/Dembele lovers happy...

If he starts, I think tomorrow is a huge game for Soldado and his Spurs future. If he has a 'meh' game then he won't start the Soton game, then there's international break and we're quickly approaching January window. He's running out of time to get himself in the PL 11, and as it stands I'd be astonished if we don't bring in a ST in January. If so, he'll leave as Poch seems to really like Kane.
