Aurier for Trippier is a must. He’s finally started to play well whereas Trippier has been damn right awful. He deserves to be our 1st choice right back.
No he doesn’t.

Over the course of the season to date, Trippier has had far more better games than Aurier.

Soton, not doing well, may try to park the bus hence no dier for me from the outset. Pretty fluid front 5 positions with Dembele anchoring.

Subject to fitness we need to keep the same players whom destroyed Burnley. As much as I want Lamela to play it’s a tad harsh to drop Sissoko. The only change I would make is Rose for Davies with the latter failing to flatter yesterday.

I’m hoping to see Wanyama get some minutes in this game and also a start for Lamela.

I'd bring Rose and Lamela for Davies and Son. Otherwise keep it the same.

Plan to bring Dembele and winks on later if all going well, but I thought we looked more fluent than we have in ages on Saturday.

Austin probably suspended for 3 games + suffered hamstring. He misses boxing day game + could potentially miss the return PL fixture on Jan 21. Also Van Dijk also missing. Southampton have won just 2 games since mid-September & just 1 away from home (at Palace) this season. We are playing them in the best possible time with them having key injuries & Kane in imperious form.

Southampton cannot play like a Swansea or a West Brom. They will come out & play, which will suit us. Kane to score against Southampton & us winning at Wembley should be a sure thing IMHO

I don't really care who Poch puts out these days. Haven't for a long time.
No longer have a breakdown even if Sissoko plays.
Rose, Davies, Verts, Sanchez, Trippier, Aurier, Dier, Dembele, Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Son, Eriksen, Alli, Llorente, Kane.
Not bad is it.
Take your pick Poch (pik pok), as long as Kane plays I'm happy.

Wanyama has only just started training again so don’t expect to see him until after Christmas period of games is over. Maybe on bench for spammers if we’re lucky

I thought Sissoko was our worst player so I wouldn’t have a problem dropping him.

Not sure why the OP got so many dislikes ... rotating the FBs and CMs makes sense given the number of fixtures over the festive period. Personally I’d play Dele as I am anticipating a run of form from him now.

Dunno about waiting for Christmas morning I just can't wait for this match.

(I know the boys need rest and recovery)

I reckon Trips will be back in and that's the only change, purely as a rotation.

Give the guy a break he played well and setup Kane for the 2nd goal when we needed it... It ain't amazingly technical but he is doing a decent job so lets be fair about his performances
