There is a big selection headache at the back IMO. I think Poch's trust in Wimmer is running out quickly, if it hasnt ran out already. He hasnt impressed in any game this season and he didnt even last 60' vs City or Wycombe. Yes, he hasnt played a ton but it is telling that he got hooked at half time once and then next game, got hooked before the 60' mark. I think Poch will revert back to the 4231 until Vertonghen returns then re examine.

CCV gets on the bench due to the Trippier injury. GKN is injured so Edwards comes into the 18 for him. Sissoko and Wimmer completely dropped

I know Davies plays in a back 3 for Wales but I can't say I've watched them enough to know if Davies is comfortable bringing the ball out of defence as Verts, Dier and Wimmer are. This aspect of the playing the back 3 is crucial to pushing the team up the field.

I will likely be on my own here but I'd like to get Vincent in the team somehow.

Was he scintillating against Wycombe? No but he did win a vital penalty, score it, force a good save from their keeper and play some neat stuff to set up the winner. A goal will change him and Sunderland is a good place to show a bit of trust and play with two up top.

Also shocked people giving Davies a free ride in their third goal, I thought his effort to stop the guy heading it were close to embarrassing.
