I'd go back to a 4231 to fit son in since he's really been buzzing of late. I'd play wimmer alongside Toby since we still need Kevin down the stretch if we r going to make big cup runs. I'd sit dier he needs a breather, and I'd play dembele since we're away and then winks at home against Boro at the weekend. Rest of the team is straight forward.

Wimmer or Davies? I'd stick with Wimmer...

Lloris; Dier, Alderweireld, Wimmer; Walker, Dembele, Wanyama, Rose; Alli, Eriksen; Kane

If its back 3 then davies will play but if poch reveets to back 4, i suppose wimmer will partner Toby. I think Dier will be rested for this one.

Hope Son starts in a 4231. I wont mind seeing Winks start ahead of Dembele as well.

All other positions are givens.

This makes sense but Dier is one player Poch never seems to rest, either last season or this. He's a fit lad.
Hugo, Walker, Dier, Toby, Rose, Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele, Sonny, Kane.

It's Sunderland - go out and win early. Walker and Rose to play as if we had a back three and Victor to fill the holes.

Was fairly confident about Wimmer stepping in, but he seemed to struggle, not sure if that was just due to City or that he's unfamiliar with a 3 at the back system. Think i'd try Davies for this game given it's a system he's played in before.

Re: Wimmer

To every ... should I say gentleman who has with no foundation whatsoever chosen to pick an argument with me in this thread over Wimmer simply on the assumption that I am wrong and therefor worthy of countering in what can only be described a lightly audacious manner, and I won't single you out because you know who you are, the next time you find it worth your time to argue with me, would you consider having even the slightest shred of something that comes close to an actual, firm foundation for your views prior to posting.

Winner of the longest sentence so far in SC 2017.

I wonder if Pochettino will consider a back 4 to do this? I suspect not. But if he did...

Lloris
Walker Dier Toby Rose
Wanyama
Dembele
Son Dele Eriksen
Kane

Yes. I am quoting my own post. It's like "liking" your own tweet or FB post. But I basically never get any predictions right, so this was my closest attempt (exc. Lloris).
