Seems to be a waste to have both Véliz and Lankshear on the bench.
Both very similar only playing in the same position.
Although it might be claimed that Lankshear should be ahead of Véliz at the moment.
Soonsup-Bell could play anywhere up front, Ajayi perhaps .. Moore ..

Veliz is way ahead of Lankshear. Donley and Dorrington on the bench from the yoofs. Can't see any others being on it. But I'd stick Mikey Moore on there myself.

Hard to call:
Can Bentancur play 90? Probably not?
Are Udogie and Sarr past their recent minor injuries? Hope so.
Can Lo Celso be trusted? No
Can Skipp recover his mojo? Maybe.

Porro Dier Davies
Royal
. Skipp
. Sarr

Other subs (15-19):

Midfield will be PEH, Sarr and Bentancur.

Ill be amazed if Lo Celso starts, Ange doesnt seem to trust him.
Then he must be sold or loaned in January with a replacement coming in.

Because it would have been pointless having him here this season.

Unless we’re planning on having more than one keeper on the bench, there’s going to have to be at least one more yoof.

Personally I’d go with Soonsup-Bell, who I rate highly, and if Saar is out maybe John, who was close to the first team a couple of seasons ago and has recovered his form with the U21s. But the coaching team might bypass the established U21s and go for someone like Abbott (a Mason favourite) or Ajayi (who seems to have caught Ange’s eye). Probably a bit too soon for Moore. Anyway it’s academic as they won’t be getting on the pitch.

Moore is only, what, 16?
There's no way he's ready for even just a bench spot yet.
We've got to start looking at and utilising the u21's before we consider dipping into the lower youth levels imo.

If Sarr is out, then?

Vicario - Porro, Dier, Davies, Udogie - Bentancur, PEH, Lo Celso - Kulusevski, Son, Johnson

Bench: Forster, Dorrington, Royal, Skipp, Gil, Donley, Veliz + 2 out of youth with one being able to play midfield. Nile John? And one another

That bench really is something. Can't be many times that an established PL side have had 5 out of 8 outfield players on the bench without a single PL start.

Amazing really. And still media will be more concerned with United and chelscum injuries.

If we start with that midfield trio I won’t even bother watching to be fair.

Not ideal, is it?
Would prefer Bentancur for sure. I just don't think he'll be fit to play 90, so think this might be what we get.

It's what I think we'll see, rather than what I'd like, which would probably be:
. . . Bentancur
Sarr . . . . Donley

As that would most closely match the first choice midfield stylistically

Personally I’d play:

Vic

Porro
Dier
Emerson
Udogie

PEH
Bentancur
Lo Celso

Johnson
Kulusevski
Sonny

I just trust Emerson more and think he is more agile and better on the ball than both Dier and Davies.

I fear this means we will see Skipp and PEH.
I’m hoping after his quotes yesterday that Gio will get a start as well as Bentancur but I’m certainly very concerned there’s a chance you might be right. You could have a 100% fit Maddison next to those two and it wouldn’t make a difference, Skipp and PEH just can’t play together.

Was thinking Emerson a more likely starter too - would Davies be a calmer head next to him? Definitely think we need his (Emerson’s) pace to help mop-up.

Agreed but I would play Davies with his left foot, instead of Dier.
