A toss up between Moura and Lamela but I’m going to go Moura as he presses a bit harder and will force arsenal into making mistakes when they play out from the back.

He'll play Doherty if he wants to completely sabotage the game yeah, Aurier will play in this match.

Mourinho said he thought Doherty defended very well vs Palace last week.

Sanchez, Doherty and Bale is a very good right sided combination. Sanchez can cover Doherty's lack of speed, Doherty offers a more consistent and settled force next to Sanchez than Serge Aurier does. MD and GB have a nice little partnership forming.

----------------Lloris-----------------
Aurier---Sanchez--Toby---Reguilon
--------Hojbjerg--Ndombele-------
---Bale-------Moura----------Son---
----------------Kane------------------

Subs: Hart, Dier, Davies, Doherty, Sissoko, Winks, , Bergwijn, Dele, Lamela, Vinicius

Moura still deserves to start. Lamela has been very good and will be a welcome sub when he comes on to add some shithousery to them, but Moura is more threatening in the 10 role right now.

Bergwijn back on the subs bench.

Team picks it self as most have alluded to only debate is Lamela or Lucas.... Lamela to start all day long for me in this particular match , lucas to come on in 2nd half at some point use his pace to terrorize a tiring gooner team and add further pressure

Only question marks are RB and CAM, but I think that’s our current best lineup and I think Mourinho will value Aurier’s pace over Doherty’s stature as Arsenal aren’t a particularly big side.

I'm a little concerned about our right side with Tierney and Aubamayang and Gareth not really tracking back too much. I thought he might play Sissoko and push Tanguy forward for this one but starting Sissoko last night suggests not. Obviously this problem works both ways as Tierney has to think about the fact when he goes forward Gareth Bale is occupying the space he left.

Yeah probably for a lesser team but not against Arsenal, Arsenal attack mainly down their left - if Doherty plays Tierney will have a field day, play your strongest team - that doesn't include Doherty.

I think the potential is here for Bale to find alot of joy in current form. Kieran Tierney leaves a hell of alot of space and he was getting destroyed by Mahrez in the City game recently. Could have been about 4-0 if City were more clinical. Also against Leicester recently they got their goal from attacking down there.

You can never be confident in an NLD but have a good feeling that if Moura plays we will smash them on the counter.

as has been said several times, Aurier or Doherty is the only question for me

would prefer Aurier but having just played the full 90 and recently returning from injury it seems JMo planned on Doherty for this one

I'm expecting

Hugo

Serge Dav Toby Reg

PEH Tanguy

Bale Moura Son

Kane

But I personally would have Lamela over Moura.

If Lamela starts, he usually gets booked in the first half so needs to get subbed early. He’ll be a better impact off the bench I feel.

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Alder Reguilon
Hojbjerg Ndombele
Bale Moura Son
Kane

Subs:

Hart, Dier, Doherty, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Lamela, Vinicius

Moura and Lamela are 50:50 for me, I think Lamela is a victim of typically offering more off the bench than Moura does however so I'd start Moura and bring Lamela on with 30 minutes to go.

Aaaaannnnddd basically end thread....

The team will be this

Lloris
Doherty Sanchez Alderweireld Reguillon
Hojbjerg Ndombele
Bale Moura Son
Kane
that is what Mou will choose, it's obvious and what will happen. I don't think I disagree with the selection as I believe that is our best team at the moment.
In what alternate universe does one include Doherty in "our best team at the moment"? You are having a larf mate!

While I rate Serge higher I think Doherty has been good the last few days and he links up really well with Bale down that side.

UNPOPULAR OPINION (and not what Mo will play), but:

Lloris
Aurier - Sanchez - Toby - Reguilon
PEH - Ndomballer
Bale - Dele - Son
Kane
