Why? Because, apart from Dier, it's the same team we beat them with last time and probably the best we can muster right now. Not a slight on Fazio, I just feel that Dier's been better than him lately and liked what him and Vertonghen have been doing.

My only concerns are Chadli and Townsend. The former is not in form, unlike the beginning of the year, and the latter has never quite been in form. However, it's the best we can do on the wings with the players we've got. Lamela just isn't right for the kind of fight Chelsea will put up.

Doesn't matter who's in goal when the 2 clowns in front of him have at least a mistake a game in them. Townsend in the Lamela/Townsend conundrum and I agree with the rest of your team.

Completely forgot about that. Looking back he did do very well. I wonder if he's gong to start him, Mason and Bentaleb as a 3, with Eriksen left and Townsend right.

Drop Vertonghen. I think he is a big problem in our defence. Zero leadership and just as much substance. No thanks. At least Fazio is what he is, we know we have a slow, donkey likely to give up a soft goal every game. With Vertinghen he gets the hopes up as he sometimes looks brilliant.

Chadli is massively pissing me off currently and I'm amazed that he is getting away with scrutiny tonight. I know he's had family stuff going on, but since the Chelsea match where he was beastly and worked extremely hard, he hasn't got anywhere near that in terms of workrate. Tonight he showed the least fire in his belly of any of them. A great big fairy. I don't like rewarding players after weeks of phoning it in... I think a message needs to be sent out by Poch to the squad and he's one of the prime candidates for it due to noticeable lack of effort recently, don't put the effort in during the bread and butter games then you don't play the big games.

I'm sure he'll play some part, I hope he sticks in the winning goal, but I think he'll be a lucky boy after coasting through the last few weeks.
