Happy with what I saw from Doherty today. I've been one of his biggest critics but he played well today. Might prefer to start him this Thursday and give Serge a start vs Arsenal. I imagine we'll play a similar team to today with Ndombele coming back in for Winks. Feel for Lamela, as he's been doing well in each of his sub performances but this current team is doing well for us and we need to keep the momentum going.

Hard to pick with a huge NL derby coming up after, think Serge will be back for that, I think we can make some changes and still come away with a decent win:

I worry about Toby player 3 games in a week, but him and Sanchez have formed a decent partnership. Think Son needs a rest, and hopefully reset of form.

I would definitely rest Bale and start Lamela. I would also be thinking of resting PEH. If we start ether Ndombele, Kane or Son they have to be subbed not too late.

The one area where we can't afford a drop off is at full back and striker. There is too much a gap in quality there to play backups. This team has enough balance to go score 3 or 4 goals. It gives Alderweireld, PEH, Bale and Son a rest for Arsenal. If Lo Celso were fit, I'd start him over Ndombele.

Potentially. I have a friend who supports Rijkea who says the best Croatian team is usually around mid table prem level. Will probably be a similar test to our last 3 games with the potential being there for a walkover or a tough slog.

Seems much better than trying to change 7 or 8 players each time.

Zagreb is not a bad team, but this team should be good enough to nick a result which sets us up nicely for the return.

Kane and (hopefully) Aurier shouldn't get more than 60 minutes with Arsenal on Sunday. Toby, Bale, Højbjerg and Son rested as well.
