Well, we have 5 days to prep for Everton. Weirdly enough, I think we'll beat Everton and Manu but lose to Brighton and Westham and thus continuing the rollercoaster of emotions that comes from supporting Tottenham. My biggest hope is that we'll have one of Bentancur or Skipp (ideally both) back for this game. I really want us to avoid using PEH & Winks as a CM pairing. Maybe in a CM3 but never in a CM2.

Hugo
Romero - Dier - Davies
Doherty - Bentancur - PEH - Reguillon
Kulusevski - Kane - Son

Subs: Sanchez, Rodon, Sessegnon, Royal, Stevie, Scarlett, White, Lucas, Gollini

Really hope we find out that we've come away from Boro without further injury. The boys were knackered.

Plenty of time to prepare and recover for this match. With God's blessing if Bentancur and/or Skipp are back for this I'm expecting Conte to select the XI you've put forward. CB axis likely remain the same here after a fairly solid outing. Good chance Sess will be dropped for Reguilon after putting in a lackluster performance. Expecting Doherty to get the nod at RWB after again outshining Emerson (albeit dimly). Chirpy should be selected over Winks in the pivot, if necessary.

Big shout for Stevie B to start here after undoubtedly being the biggest threat of the evening in his cameo imo. Regardless, I'm expecting Conte to go with his seemingly preferred Kulu-Kane-Son trio from the start.

My XI:
Hugo
Romero - Dier - Davies
Doherty - Not Wanksy - PEH - Reguilon
Bergwijn - Kane - Son

I was tempted to swap in Stevie for Son but it's clear to me that Conte is unwilling to give him a start. Maybe Son's performance in the cup will change his undroppable status but Conte's reluctance to sub him was very telling about how he feels about him.

From training pics and Conte's presser, I think it will most likely be the team below. Thrilled to have Bentancur back and sounds like Reguillon isn't ready to start games just yet.

Hugo
Romero - Dier - Davies
Doherty - Bentancur - PEH - Sessegnon
Kulusevski - Kane - Son

Subs: Sanchez, Rodon, Reguillon, Royal, Stevie, Scarlett, White, Lucas, Gollini

Bentancur in for Winks and I would even consider Bergwijn for Son and bring on Sonny after 60 minutes.

Sonny has to be dropped for this game or there's no point in the other forwards turning up for training.

———————Lloris
——Romero—Dier—Davies
Lucas—Bentancur—PEH—Reguilon
——Kulusevski—Kane—Son

That’s what I want rather than what I expect. I expect Doherty at RWB and Sess at LWB.

I've convinced myself that Kulusevski can play on the left of a midfield three because he used to play there for Atalanta. But what we will probably get is the same as last time, but with Bentancur instead of Winks and maybe Reguilon over Sessegnon.

I'd have bentancur as the deep CM and push Hojberg further forward. Bentancur can beat the press much easier

Lloris

Romero Dier Davies

Doherty Hojberg Bentancur Reguilon

Deki Kane Son

subs: GK, Emerson, Sanchez, Sessengnon, White, Lucas, Bergwijn

Can be a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3 as Deki can play as a CAM to help with the numbers in the middle depending on how the game pans out. No thank you to Winks it’s a pointless exercise at this point, and don’t think me selecting Doherty is an endorsement he’s just the better option at the moment. Everton are a shambles, we need to get after them from the first whistle get an early goal - nothing wrong with kicking someone while they’re down. The longer we let them in the game and get some confidence the harder the game will be

Wouldn't mind Kulusevski playing more as a 10 in that team and dropping into MF when they have the ball.

Hopefully bentancur straight back in, but I guess that's the risk isn't ?

45 to 6 minutes of winks Vs starting benta and him getting reinjured and having paper winks for the rest of the season
