Hopefully we'll see both Aurier and Reguilon at the weekend.

Those two (can't believe I'm saying this about Aurier), transform the way we play (low bar tbf).

I think we'll beat Palace with a good performance.

Think a few looked absolutely shattered today. Aurier Reguillon Lamela Lucas all come in and start to give us some more energy. Possibly Dier/Rodon if Toby can’t do 3 games in a week

Same team but swap in Reggie and Serge as many have said. Be nice to able to get a good lead in the first half so we can bring a few off early into the 2nd.

I would assume Toby will be rotated to protect him from a muscle injury with Dier coming in. I would also expect Serge and and Sergio to come back in at full back.

Ndombele and PEH in the middle. Then it's down to how Bale and Dele feel after tonight, but I think them coming off around the hour mark was to give them the best chance of starting vs palace.

I'd like to see the same front 4 then rest Bale and one other against Zagreb as we need Bale firing against the goons.

The match against Fulham was a clear sign that we need to rotate, since some of our players are already looking like they need a rest. Too bad Lo Celso isn't ready yet, since Ndombele is one of those players.

..................................... Lloris .................................
Tanganga ... Sanchez ..... Dier ..... Reguilon
................ Ndombele ..... Hojbjerg ..................
Lamela ....................... Dele .......................... Son
................................... Vinicius ...............................

Subs: Hart, Doherty, Alderwiereld, Davies, Sissoko, Winks, Lucas, Bale and Kane.

If Aurier is over his injury already, then he should start instead of Tanganga.

I’d rest Sonny. Keep him until 60th minute. He’s running on fumes and if we are not careful he will pick up an injury.

If everyone is fit, bring in Aurier and Reguilon for Doherty and Davies.
No other changes.

Based purely upon current form, and despite the fact that I love Son, I'd contemplate switching him for Lamela or Dele. They're both looking fit, fresh & up for it, and poor Son just isn't looking like himself right now & could perhaps benefit from a little breather. Kane looks the same but, unlike with Son, we don't really have a replacement for him (in the PL, at least).

I just want wins and am not too concerned about how it is achieved pretty football can take a back seat to pragmatism .
We have I believe played more games than any team in Europe so this is not the time to moan about how we played the question is " did we get the 3 points " . As in the Fulham game winning three points is more important at this time in the season than how we achieved it .

Lamela deserves to start this one. He's been brilliant recently.

Yeah I put dele in my team because he was very good but Lamela was also excellent. I think it's great we're discussing players in Dele, Moura, Lamela and Bale who have all played well in recent games and probably deserve a start rather than what it felt like previously of trying to find the least poor option.

If anything I think Kane has been the one off form in recent games

Add Son to that last sentence & you're spot on buddy.

Edit: they're not off form, they're (understandably) absolutely shattered. The problem is, we're now at a point in the season where the next game is the most important one, no matter who the opposition is. So how do we rest our 2 best attackers and win that all important next match?

Yh I did debate including Son but over the last 2 games he's actually been better compared to since the NLD in my opinion. I think you hit the nail on the head about them being shattered, they carried our first half of the season. If I was Jose I'd continue not using them during Europa until the ties get more difficult, we need to put trust into our other players, the 4 I mentioned plus Bergwijn. I even think there's an argument to say you could put one on the bench and call on them if needed. Again it comes down to trusting our other attacking players.

It's one of those though, if you rest them and you win you look a genius, if you fail to win then you look a fool for taking such a risk. I'd be trying to put trust in some of our other attacking players over the next 2 games though.
