I'm old school, I don't think the fickle fans - of which there are many at WHL - won't like to be paying top dollar
to see a second string experimental team.

Something with a bit a oomph for the first half, rack up a few goals then ease up to a canter is my hope.

I remember the Young Boys and also Shamrock Rovers matches from recent times and the unnecessary pressure
that was caused by taking things too easy.

But then again as an oldie I want to see any Spurs team go out and thwack the opposition from a mentality point of view.

We are at home, against inferior opposition. We are very likely to absolutely dominate them, be attacking all night with something in the region of 128% possession and rack up 3400 passes. The full backs will be effectively playing like wingers we have so much of the ball and will need them to get forward constantly, hugging the touchline, taking their man on down the outside and getting crosses in. Why not just play wingers there who have the better skillset to do this?

Yea I'm not actually disagreeing with the sentiment as I agree with your rationale in your next post.

This is one of those complete mis-match ties - especially so in light of Snarf's nugget that the Tromso coach indicated he'll play a weakened side. We'll dick on them right from the outset and the margin of victory depends completely on our attitude to this.

It's also a reason why I'm happy to see a strong side out to put into practice what we do on the training ground and further inbed the new guys into Andre's system with the security of knowing we'll dictate this game and tempo for the full 90.

As a striker who's main contribution is goals I feel he needs to keep his tally high for confidence etc

Goals breed goals for strikers like him, without a league goal from open play yet and I feel if he could play and net a couple in the Europa it could aid his goal scoring in the league and help his settling in period
