Kluivert is miles away from PL level at the moment. People look at his hat-trick, he’s done virtually nothing else all season.

I’ve watched him for some time, he’s overhyped. Yes he’s very talented but I would rather sign a David Neres. He would probably be more expensive but is more ready and he’s unbelievably talented. Already one of Ajax most important players

I do like signing good young players ( although we have a academy full of them to use ) but I do wish we’d got for a bit of clsss instead atm

Neres is a very good player but he plays on the right-wing.

I think last week Ajax played with a front 3 of Kluivert Dolberg Neres ?

Wouldn't mind all those three and Van de Beek, don't think Ajax would be too pleased though. :playful:

I just cannot agree with you one iota. Justin Kluivert WILL hit the top!!! Over-hyped at only 18 years of age? Really? The whole world know about him, and even his 8 year old brother at Barca. I would LOVE him at our club. Is he the one I am talking about? I wish it was...is....was...is...was...

I didn’t say that I wouldn’t take him our club, of course I would. But if I had to choose between him and Neres I pick David Neres. And I’be been so impressed by David Neres that I genuinely think that him and Malcolm should go to the World Cup with Brazil, or at least one of them. And I have a feeling you may also talk about Van De Beek. We’ve been linked with him before and we need a midfielder

I think we need a right sided midfielder/attacker more than left, we’ve got Son at left. And yes I wouldn’t mind us signing Kluivert just said I prefer David Neres

According to Transfermarkt, Mino Raiola is Kluivert’s agent. That’s a bit of a concern isn’t it?

Don’t take this as a hint! You are so wrong! Guy is class. Just like I hailed Sánchez, knocked VJ. All before they signed, I will hail this kid also.
I’m not saying he’s not talented, just that he’s had a lot of average games for Ajax this season too. That hat-trick has made expectations rise, but he’s got a lot to learn.

Having never seen this bloke before and watching his highlights from the match against Roda; I thought his finishing was quite excellent however his actual ball skills didn't seem to be that much different from GKN and he has less pace than Georges. If we were going for a winger I'd prefer that they have great technical ability and if they're under 20 years old then why not just bring in shashoua and edwards from the academy?

I’ve seen a couple of Ajax matches this season and the GKN comparison is not a million miles away. I’d say Kluivert is more of a wide forward than winger, but his touch and play is generally a bit loose like Nkoudou. He does have a great change of pace in tight situations though.

It’s quite clear that Poch wants that wide player who’s quick but also powerful though. Mane, Zaha, even Bale. He wants an all rounder.

Not sure if this has been posted already but it is a very interesting article quoting Poch presumably in a press conference this week. First time I’ve seen him take a public side swipe at Levy for leaving our incomings so late.

https://www.independent.ie/sport/so...for-a-january-transfer-struggle-36391968.html

It's not really a swipe, more exerting a little pressure.

We leave our business late some of the time, all he's saying is we could do with planning differently so this doesn't continue to hinder our preparations for a new season.

He's spot on. Leaving business until late on isn't as effective as it once was anyway. It's worth paying a little more, within reason, to get a full pre season with pretty much the whole squad.
