Fekir - quality player BUT he’s previously had a serious career threatening injury (ruptured cruciate). We’ve history of not pursuing players who have had bad injuries (eg cruciate).

Fekir would be an immens signing, but I believe his performance this season, he has something like 13 goals in 15 games, puts him firmely out of our range. He also seem too flashy a signing for Spurs, we never go for this sort of player which is a shame as I think he would be perfect.

It's frustrating when you think what we spent/are spending on Sissoko. We missed our chance with Fekir at a reasonable price.

i guess that counts Luke Shaw out then? Thought he looked ok for ManU last night i.e worth considering if they want rid and Rose wants out.

when sessegnon played lw at the u19 euros this past summer he was almost unplayable when the games were stretched but was mostly ineffectual when the opposition sat deep and limited the space for him to work in. the most obvious example of this was against germany where they needed a win to have any chance of qualifying, they stayed compact and sessegnon was barely even noticeable but once england got a goal and germany had to open up he ran riot bagging a couple of goals and probably could've had a few more. it was only five games so perhaps a small sample size but i'm not sure he'd be much of a help just yet in those kind of games that we've been struggling in this season, would still be happy to see us sign him though as he's a big talent.

You know who I'd like us to go for Nicolo Barrella of Cagliari he's a cracking little player & we could do with another midfielder to cover Dembele & Eriksen... Want Rose gone as far away from club as possible..think it's part of problem in dip in form at moment, players wanting away that shit spreads throughout squad quickly..gethe rid of him. . I'd go for Benfica lb Grimaldo to replace him

The key bit. Might not be anyone else's!

Has happened before under Levy. I think league expectation will influence our dealings heavily. Even if we secure one signing for the summer, our squad mentality could be affected. I think it was mentioned perhaps by @Trix that there is an intention to get something sorted, though maybe not for a January transfer.

If Rose stays in January, we will wait on sessegnon.
We will probably either get Barkley for around 10 Million or some no name brand. Poch is not impressed with the season we’ve had outside the League. We will sign someone!

purchase of Sessegnon is not related to the situation of Rose according to Hercules, i think it would be a similar arrangement like Dele (sale and loan back)

Ross Barkley training again with Everton
This is the year to get some business done in January. With Barkley & Goretzka both out of contract in the summer and us with an obvious and clear need for a new 6, we’d be foolish not to try and get a deal done for one of them now. I know neither is currently playing the 6 but I think that is ultimately both players best position.

Poch talks the talk about being proactive. If he's healthy again it makes sense to sign Barkley now for a cheap fee so he can be well integrated into the squad for next season. Who knows he could even be of use this season too.

Goretzka is my dream signing but he's going to a club with more money than us unfortunately. Pep loves a midfielder, I can see him going there or United possibly.

Manchester United prepare £25m bid for Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon. Real Madrid and Tottenham also interested in 17-year-old #mufc #thfc #ffc

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/dec/22/manchester-united-ryan-sessegnon-prepare-bid-fulham

two thoughts:
1. creates pressure for us to deal on Rose
2. Sessegnon's advisors would be shown to be utterly useless if they let Ryan S head to OT

Hoping for good news from Trix or Hercules

Whilst I know it's not this simple, if Utd sign Sessegnon, they can feck right off if they think they're having Rose also.

Same goes for City.

Before some start with the...why would they need both. Look at Chelsea and the amount of players they needlessly sign just because they can.
