Couldn't believe it when I read it, I thought it was a wind up. ACL injuries are one of the worst though, you're never ever the same player again unless you're one of the lucky ones. You're second guessing yourself for challenges and trying to put less strain on the leg, you're fighting the physical as well as the mental while competing in one of the toughest physically demanding leagues in the world, you need that burst of pace a lot.

He loved it at Spurs just like Benny. I'm sure he will be cheered when he is back and will give everyone a wave. I still thought he'd hit top form, a few games last season it looked like he was getting back to his best. Lovely goal against United last season too :D

So this has been a shit few days. I'm sad he left, disappointed Mauricio doesn't rate him or there's something wrong injury wise. Hope we have a buyback option, haven't been this sad since Ledley retired :'(

He hardly got a good run at actually refinding form, especially when Dim Tim came in.

Can't help but feel this is going to cause undue animosity, especially if Capoue continues to be shit against top 6 sides - an environment where Sandro thrived.

Gutted. Loved the way he put himself about on the pitch. I don't profess to be any kind of football expert but I see less and less teams using this DM destroyer specialist position.

Absolutely gutted. Very rare that I've felt like I've had a connection with a spurs player in recent times.

As others have said, I almost hope this is injury related or else I haven't got a clue what we're doing.

Goodnight sweet prince, you'll be sorely missed.

His performance alongside Palacios in Milan was one of the best I've seen in a long time from anyone in that position. They owned the midfield that day. Think he could have struck a good partnership with anyone in the centre midfield.
His injury is obviously not good or I doubt we would have let him go, but you never know with Levy, we might have a buy back option. Doubtful but it's something we would all love.

Best of luck Sandro, please don't have your best game against is as you will probably beat our CMs on your own.

Sad sad Leon, will miss the beast, he did care for Spurs and the fans, a rarer quality in footballers these days.

I'm sad but also not surprised.

There is a definite feel of regime switch. Big characters from the Harry/AVB eras moved on.

It might be that Poch wanted a clean slate to work with - and hell there's nothing more effective in management than moving out people who could potentially influence if things don't go well. Dawson, Holtby and Sandro. All big characters with a lot of dressing room power.

Yeah this definitely feels like the end of an era. Players like sandro lifted the crowd and really added to the atmosphere.

We don't know what his medical situation was but it can't have been that good. Wish him all the best.

Telling that the interest from the Italian clubs fell away I think.

You do have to wonder - as others have said - why it was QPR and QPR only who were in for him at the death?

Sounds to me like a roll of the dice from Harry - trying to reunite all the old Spurs boys together.

Wonder what it'll be like with no Rafa, Modric or Bale!

Harry is perfectly happy rolling the dice with other peoples money.

I hope we're wrong and after a run of games at QPR he is the beast of Loftus road.

Look forward to seeing him thrive as a fixture in the starting XI for the R's.

Underrated on the ball. And probably a quicker user of the ball than most CM's we still have at the club.

Good luck beast.

I see your point, but can't help but feel this is a "Yaya being sold by Barca" moment and we'll be rueing the day in years to come.

No particular slight on Bentaleb, think he is very promising. But I can already envisage him being completely mugged off and destroyed by the Beast when we play at Loftus Road...
