Wellshit is injured. (y)
Isnt Ox also?

For a second though, I thought this was just another name for Wheelchair and got pretty happy. Hate him. Hate hate hate. Dont have an issue with Welbeck, i dont think.

As for America, the new fake outrage is towards Klinsmann, yet again, for saying we cant win the WC. God damnt, America. Its highly unlikely and just flat unrealistic. Lets make it out of our group first. For fucks sake, sometimes America is so fucking stupid.

I may be walking into a trap here but...

Thursday.
No you're not...really haven't paid any attention to it, too many years of jumping on the bandwagon thinking England will do well I suppose.
For me it's just lost the allure and mystery it used to have, watching players who you've never heard of putting in amazing performances or in some cases not knowing when a wall is allowed to break from a free kick....
Those were the days!

I have no doubt the Brazilians will make this the best WC in living memory.

I've never felt so disinterested in a world cup, in fact I've just discovered it starts today by accident. I don't even look forward to seeing Brazil play in the world cup any more.

I actually started to get a tiny bit excited about it last night, when flicking through the Sky Planner to see what games were on each channel.
Have tasked my 8 yr old with watching the 5pm midweek games seeing as I'll still be at work. Told him to watch and see if it helps him decide who will win the tournament.

Up until the start of this week I was feeling suprisingly disinterested in the World Cup but this week has seen a change. I don't know if it's the extra build up on TV, the podcasts finally coming out giving previews or just the fact that... wait... hang on a minute... It's a World Cup in BRAZIL!!!!

I'd love to see us give the youngsters a chance and throw caution to the wind but deep down you just know that Hodgson won't change his mentality he's always been solid, boring and focused on set-pieces. If it's 0-0 after 70 mins on Sat against Italy and he's given the choice of gambling by introducing Barkley & Sterling or conserving a point with Milner & Jones you just know he'll bring on James ******* Milner.

I don't think we'll win the world cup but I'm starting to get bored of the negativity where I keep telling people how rubbish we are. We 'can' be good and we 'can' suprise a few people. We have a few players who 'on thier day' can be creative and exciting so why can't this be thier day...

So.... out with the negativity, England to beat an old / aging Italy team in humid conditions, Draw with Uruguay (who will just sit back and try to hit us on the counter) and beat with Costa Rica.

We'll beat Ivory Coast in the last 16 and set up a Quarter Final clash against old rivals Argentina (where we'll get ripped to shreads by their incredible attack).

I'd take that as a decent World Cup (y)

I think the squad that Hodgson has taken shows that he going to do more than just try to stop the opposition from playing. I'm actually looking forward to seeing us play for a change.

On the eve of the opening game, the England squad visited one the favelas on the outskirts of Rio earlier today, amidst their heavy schedule of preparations for their own first game on Saturday, against Uruguay. It was obviously a very moving experience. "It was shocking. I was deeply saddened to see at close quarters young people looking so forlorn, empty, and devoid of hope or purpose" said Jaoa, aged 8.

I'm really looking forward to this World Cup, not because of England as such. But there are so many strong teams, perhaps none that will go down in history as one of the best, but pretty much every team has players capable of a moment of brilliance. Differing football philosophies, styles of play should be interesting. Enough unknown quality in some of the south American and African teams alongside the established talents that there could be some interesting/surprising performances.

Particularly looking forward to seeing how the strong yet lesser nations such as;

Chile
Columbia
Belgium
Switzerland
etc

handle the tournament...

Most of all, just looking forward to watching and enjoying football casually after a shit season and a break!

If you were a World Cup team, you would be PORTUGAL. Well, aren't you interesting. You're not that successful; you're not that rich; and you have never really had any power, but you are capable of producing a kind of magic that is immensely attractive. You are neither a mover nor a shaker, but you are quick-witted and you possess something everyone wants: a touch of genius.

That's just great, I'm a failure, poor and impotent.
