Ye I've seen that before. He clearly doesn't care what people think. He is obviously not going to go West Ham so I don't really mind. He may have just borrowed his mates top for some reason.
You do get the impression that even if he does decide to stick with us to make his breakthrough that he isn't going to be a heart on sleeve type of player who will be committed to us long term.

He may end maturing and appreciating what we have done for him however I don't see him being that type of player. To be fair if he became one of the best players and is wanted it's win win as he will go for very big money.

Most players in the academy won't be Spurs fans. Caulker was happy to leave rather than stay and fight to come through the club as I doubt he was a Spurs fan. There were other reasons regarding Joe Lewis but we won't know.

Then you get the Spurs fan that isn't quite good enough like Livermore and maybe Townsend and Carroll who we may end up selling anyway.

I think that although some local kids that come through the ranks may initially be Spurs fans, after time I believe that it just becomes a job for them and they're not too bothered about who they play for, as long as they play and are getting paid.

Townsend for example probably feels that he doesn't get the same treatment from the fans as Kane or even Bentaleb, maybe some resentment towards the club even builds.

Despite us wanting to believe that the academy lads have a strong affinity to the club, I think the reality is probably quite different.

We obviously don't know the full story with Edwards but with the little snippets we've been hearing I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's not with us for the long haul.

See we have often heard from people who know his dad that he does come from a spurs supporting family, so I can't see him being a west ham fan to be honest

Not sure again about their info. They say he's been playing mostly as RW or a striker but I don't think I've ever seen him play those positions for us.

And is it implying that McEvoy is an inside forward blocking him?

Anyway I know our aim was to ideally bring through players at 22/23 but do you think that as our players are improving in the academy we should reduce that. Is Azzaoui really 5 years away? Guess he may need a loan out but that's a long time away.

I think I've only seen or heard of Azzaoui playing LW, and when he's playing its usually Georgiou playing RW.

As a general aim I think bringing players into the first team proper at age 22/23 is not a bad aim, but in practice we should be bringing them through gradually starting maybe with a couple of appearances off the bench from about 17/18 onwards. however getting into the first team is always a matter of luck (a more senior player getting injured or losing form etc) as well as how a player looks to be settling into first team life. So in reality players can get in the first team at anything from about 19 through to 22/23, its not an exact science and will vary with both player and circumstances - Bentaleb had the luck to show he was ready at the same time as established internationals playing CM were not, at aged 19. Had Capoue et al been playing well it might have been age 22/23 before he broke through.

Kane could have broken through a year earlier at age 20 but AVB preferred to play mainly Soldado. Veljkovic (19) didn't break through last season because of the number of CM's we had etc.

Don't think so I believe he is a United fan. You can tell who they all support from their twitters, but they all say COYS and obviously want Spurs to do well. I think Roles is the only that actually supports Spurs out of those on twitter

I spoke to Luke Amos' dad and I can't remember who they supported but he did say that they have changed as if Spurs does well then Luke is doing well

It is a site predominantly for American-based Spurs fans, so always have that in mind.

It has been refreshing for me to come here and to read what you guys have to say since you are watching these boys in person

Are we talking about Edwards, cause I can't find one united tweet. Several people who claim to know his dad have said he supports spurs, but then again that doesn't necessarily mean he does

Ye I acknowledged that on when I spoke about the KWP one, as they admitted to not having seen much at all of him so struggled to know where to put him on the list which is fair enough.

I just think in some cases, even like you they could have done a bit more research. Like I said Azzaoui has never played striker and I don't think RW for us so I don't know where they got that information from. If they don't have the access to watch that is totally fine, but writing information that you haven't research is just misinforming, so what is the point?

Any American or English fan even will think he is a striker, that's just plain wrong and doesn't benefit anyone.

Don't mean to come across overly critical but there are a lot of sources where they could have got better information, like he said even just watching highlights, or if you know you're going to write this piece stream the FAYC matches.

anyone know what the plan is for josh onomah? Are the club trying to lock him down on a long term contract? apologies if covered already just wondered whether plan for short term involves a loan or will he be kept in the 1st team squad and developed at spurs?
