Tarrabt and Dalmat had the potential to be great but couldn’t be arsed.

Simon Davies and Kyle Naugton? Both were considered the better player in double signings - Matty Etherington and Kyle Walker kinda outshone the player they were a make weight for

Etherington better than Davies, by any measure one cares to choose? Not in this universe.

Kevin PB had a lot of ability but a poor attitude.

Davies was a classy little player.
Didn't Etherington get a bit of a sulk on because he wasn't getting game time, even though it would have meant displacing Ginola?! He was still young then and should have been patient, biding his time and learning from a legend. Instead, he left and ended up at west ham.

The ones that never made it

Chaps, I was having a chat with a fellow spurs fan over breakfast about the players we thought would go on to become greats but never quite made it with us. If you can forgive the fullbacks I came up with

Jalal
Young-Defendi-Uvini-Ziegler
Bostock-Blondel-Price-saib
(Rob) simpson-El hammadoui
Subs
Andy Turner
Gerry McMahon
Darren Caskey
Ronny Henry

Any better suggestions?
Ziegler and Luke young both had decent careers after they left us.

Does not help that hetherington is a West Ham fan . So his views are skew whiff .
