The season is about to kick off with Jol's Hamburg away at Bayern.

Difficult first game.

I can't believe same time last year Jol was heading with our squad to play Sunderland. How time moves on, how things change.

Schweinsteiger puts bayern 1-0 up. Boateng's brother at fault.

2-0 penalty Poldolski. Absurd penalty decision.

oh my, 2-0 to BM in the first 15 mins. Ham looked good in the opening few mins but BM are ruthless when an opportunity presents its self.

The trouble with this game is that no matter how organised HSV are, or how well they make themelves available for the ball and move it around, there is a predictability about what is going to happen when the ball gets up to Ollic. The guys is very willing, but pretty shit. He works as hard as Kuyt, but also makes Kuyt look technically as good as Berbatov. When Poldolski, Kroos or Klose get the ball in the final third there is always the feeling a goal is close, but when Ollic, Petroipa or Guerrero get the ball, the danger just isn't the same. Also the Bayern fullback's are in a different league to Hamburg's. Lahm looks like a constant threat going forward.

Not watching the game right now but Hamburg looked good at the Emirates, especially Mohammed Zidan, and Atouba looked decent but no-one passed it to him

He did look good, but he also decided to pass the ball across his own box on two occassions and played the RB into trouble.

True, he didn't stop working though, and I can't see how he's any worse than Gilberto to be honest.

Watching the game and it seems the Norwegian telly will continue their stint with German footy.

Nice to see Jol, it brings back a lot of good memories. Atouba just subbed on now and I'm afraid I can't say exactly the same about him! ;-)

It's like Atouba is playing for Bayern, he seems so keen to pass the ball to their players!
