Jol just picked up Janssen from Bayern Munich

He was meant to be signing a young Argentinian LB, but he seems to have gone to Betis. Jol is clealry a big Atouba fan . I actually think they could do with a new RB also. I saw HSV 3 times in pre season and didn't think much of KPB's brother. They've signed the CB Da Silva, who I'd never heard of also. I also read they were going to bid for Krancjar, but i guess his injury means that won't be happening. It's a shame, as I think they'd have pushed Schalke and Werder, for a top 3 spot with a quality replacement for VDV. Watching them against Bayern and at the Emirates tournament, it was clear Jol has them very well set up and they move the ball brilliantly, but they lack quality. Had they had better players they'd have stuffed Juve, Real and Bayern, but unfortunatley they lack technical ability. I don't know much about Petric, maybe he can give them the cutting edge they are missing in the final third.

Hamburg came back from 0-2 down, to win 4-2. But Janssen is already injured and had to be taken off.

Hamburg have announced the signing of Thiago Neves.

The Bundesliga is clearly popular here! I'm basically talking to myself.

Werder and 3-0 up with half an hour to go, away to Bayern. I really think the Bundesliga is the best league to follow this year. It's such an interesting league. There are 2 interesting fights. The title battle, between Werder, Schalke and Bayern and then the UEFA Cup spots fight between Stutgart, HSV, Bayer, and even Dortmund. All the teams in these battles are very evenly matched.

I can tell you I've really lost interest in La Liga. In fact, this is th order in where my interests lies on:

1. Premiership/Serie A
2. Bundesliga
3. La Liga

Nice trashing by Bremen. That 3-5-2 that Klinsmann is trying to implement doesn't seem to work. Lahm's defensive skills are shocking

They are indeed, but the FM fraternity on SC persist in the delusion that he's a great LB. Amazing.

Amazing also that Werder ended up 0-0 at home against Anorthosis (you know, the bums we slaughtered a year ago), and a few days later stuffed Bayern.
