What a start! Almost poetic that the man who's likely to take over as the leader (or co-leader) of the attack for the next 18-24 months is doing the business!

how good has Woakes been in the series? totally changed the momentum when him and Wood came in.
He's always been good for England, but in this series he's been utterly exceptional. A really underrated cricketer. I felt he was unlucky in Australia too in the 4-0 thrashing. He went past the bat so many times from what I can remember.

he's definitely underrated by many, he's such a good cricketer.

Strange to think that the ball is moving all over the shop and Jimmy Anderson is 4th choice.

Well, that's why. Something is wrong with Jimmy. Don't know if it's an injury or a technical issue. Woakes and Wood had swing and Jimmy looks almost dead straight, to the point where he's being driven off the back foot through mid on. Strange.
