Stoneman was unlucky, got the only jaffa of the morning (I also suspect he didn't he pick up the pink ball, which might be an issue for some of the players). Westley just missed a straight one playing his favourite shot. Not the worst dismissals, but we need these guys to start scoring runs.

Windies have mainly bowled some real filth so far though, must get better quickly.

I'd have thought that hitting the straight ones is a pretty basic requirement for batting success. ;)

Agree the ball that got Stoneman was a doozie, though.

Ally Cook still the man when it comes to batting the whole day.

Windies look like they've already given up. What were they doing there with the new ball? Barring some extreme change in conditions tomorrow England will have underachieved if they don't get 600 before sticking them in.

Honestly, despite being one of the greatest in history, Alastair Cook still doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Fully expect him to go on and break the all-time record for runs scored in tests.

Judging by this bowling attack, he'll break it in this series.

I reckon they might already have enough to win this by an innings :D

It'll be interesting to see how Jimmy & co bowl with the new ball. Preferably starting just before twilight today.

In the field the Windies looked like a team who are getting used to losing.

Which, if you can remember the likes of Ambrose, Walsh, Holding, Marshall, Roberts, Garner, et al, is very sad.

I think you could be right, when they were larking about with the decision to take the second new ball I was quite confident we could have had two or three of them out if we had declared.

I just want to see how long Cook can bat for really! If he gets out early then the others should just come in and go full on 20/20 mode and speed the game along. If he's still in though I'd just let him keep going.

It's a shame that codshead, can't remember his name now, (Marlon Samuels was it?) the one that saluted Stokes isn't playing. It'd at least spice it up a bit.

Yeah. Windies selection policy is ludicrous. He wasn't selected because he chose to play and earn money from the Pakistan Super League. Apparently he's considering a kolpak deal now too.

This could get a bit embarrassing. Anyone with tickets for tomorrow must be starting to worry.
