Lehmann has just resigned effective once the test match against South Africa has finished.
Going back to sandpaper free cricket, England have dropped Moeen and Woakes from the squad for the 2nd Test which starts tonight.
Probably, I like him. He was also dropped for the final Ashes test. We're in danger of going back to 80's EnglandHarsh on Woakes?
At least with it starting at 11pm our time I will get to see Vince again...I've missed him.
This almost made me gasp.
Former Aussie fast bowler Merv Hughes says David Warner has a future for the Australia cricket team, despite being banned for 12 months for instigating a ball-tampering plot that has rocked cricket.
Hughes says batsman Warner has "never crossed the line before" and believes what he's done for Australian cricket is "fantastic."
Fuck. Me.
Then again, apart from one 4-36 he's (Woakes) not done much with the ball and doesn't have the credit in the bank that Broad and Anderson have (and which will probably start running out after the next Ashes)
Anyone else feel sorry for Smith in his press conference?
A grown man crying when he suddenly realised he'd blown that IPL contract.
Pinhead's apologised, Boof's apologised, but what about the twatty slug balancer?
Surely last chance saloon for Vince now.
Ali rightfully dropped but not sure why Woakes has seemingly taken the flak. Him and Broad should be opening our attack when Jimmy retires.
Hope this is Cook's last test as well, we should put faith in a replacement for this summer's tests. Personally would bring in Hameed.
A couple of years ago when it really counted, he averaged 44 in 3 tests against quality Indian opposition in their own back yard. He's a young lad who can handle the pressure I think. He's been unlucky with injuries.Hameed averaged 7 last year or thereabouts, and about 10 on the recent Lions tour, you’ve got to be kidding?
TBF bear, he did look the part in India and that isn't easy out there. He did his hand in and has struggled since, but if I were going to pick one to stick with it'd be him. I think he goes straight into the side as soon as he scores a few runs.Hameed averaged 7 last year or thereabouts, and about 10 on the recent Lions tour, you’ve got to be kidding?
