Can't argue with that Shiz, but if the personal satisfaction/glory of getting an ashes fifty was his main objective he could have pushed a single pretty much at will really and he'd also have gone for the 'not out' to boost his stats. On this occasion i'm not sure there's much else he could have done considering who he had left to bat with.Come on.

Overall, England's batting as a unit has just not been anywhere near good enough. We've seen what can happen when the Aussies are put under any sort of pressure and we've consistently failed to deliver the sort of scores that wins you test matches. Yesterday's collapse was a disgrace and probably the worst of the lot.
We're probably going to take a 5-0 beating again and even if we don't this tour ranks as the worst and most embarrassing of the lot.
