Good delivery bud. Just seen it, I'm behind about 5 mins. Like normal...
It was, but he should have been caught a couple of balls earlier flashing at a ball he should have left considering it was the first over. His decision making has been pretty poor in this series so far.

well well. here we go again. shoddy technique shown up by a ball that moves of the straight.

edit: not sure Crawley's delivery even moved. he should never be playing in this test.

Let's be honest it's been a good spell of bowling, but that doesn't change the fact there's been some poor shot selection as well.

If only Sky could get their football punditry close to the quality of their Cricket commentary. Sangakarra there talking through wicket keeping like that is so insightful and adds so much to the event.
I think generally speaking, Cricket pundits and Rugby pundits tend to be a bit better when it comes to talking eloquently, as generally (sweeping statement incoming) they're from better educated backgrounds that footballers.

Bit of balance - good spell of bowling vs a few iffy shots.

Anyone who says it's a batsmen's game is talking shit though; batsmen get one mistake and are usually punished with their wicket. Bowlers get another delivery if they bowl a shit ball. Tough gig, particularly at the top of the order.

I don't think it's the eloquence, as much as it's the lack of emotional bias, stating the actual facts, and being able to tell the common folk things they didn't actually know.

Shot selection? If they displayed impeccable judgement they'd make a hundred every week. Trouble is, it's starting to become a bit of a trot isn't it.

The batsmen are playing positively which is how they've been told to play so they'll have a bit in the bank when that's taken into consideration so it might take a couple of games yet for Crawley or Lees to find themselves out in the cold. I've no problem with them sticking with a player as frustrating as their form is right now, neither with any collapse which, let's face it, we all know is always around the corner anyway.

I guess i'm being very patient because the changes we wanted have (more or less) been made so we have to go with how they do it for a while

Regardless of the result, this is far, far more entertaining a team to watch than it was just a couple of months ago. It's actually been very watchable. All of it.
