So let me get this straight….WLB gives us ITK about our owners in the ITK ‘discussion’ thread but we can’t discuss said information about said owner? Threads cross over from time to time! Shock!
If you've missed that a good deal of the users in this place, plus the admin, are fucking tired of Levy bashing in LITERALLY EVERY THREAD, then I'm not sure there's much help on offer, to be fair.

When the admin of the site say to stop this shit, probably just do that rather than argue the point.

AC Milan and Chelsea have both expressed significant interest in acquiring Gift Orban. While the terms with the player are agreeable, we're still deliberating on whether to proceed with the deal, given his popularity within the club's hierarchy — a likelihood that's heightened. Additionally, we're actively considering alternatives for the same position, particularly two other players whom we're very enthusiastic about for the forward role; however, it's worth noting that these alternatives might come with higher transfer fees compared to Orban.

Navigating player departures is proving to be a challenge, as there's substantial interest in our players. However, the transfer fees being offered are falling short of the club's expectations, particularly in cases where Daniel Levy is involved, or players themselves are not inclined towards a move.

I like how the 'discussion' so far seems to have not picked up on this part of the ITK.

Yes, Levy is a tight bastard and all that and we keep doing this... but this isn't Basketball or American Sports. Our players have to also want to leave and every year it feels like they don't.

For all this talk of 'just end the contract' or 'just loan 'em out' etc... we can't do that. Players have to agree it too and seemingly they're not that keen or that fussed.

I think there were two scenarios given, one was Levy over valuing certain players. In this case it's penny wise pound foolish quite often.

Quite right that he can't do anything about players that won't leave other than pay them off.

Anyway bored of this window now, none of the links are exciting and we've sold out best player and have glaring holes in the squad.

Cheers for the update WLB.

(Look how easy that was not to rehash an opinion you’ve had for years about the ownership - probably didn’t even need to post anything at all really. Could be food for thought?)

Appreciate the update WLB.

Let's hope they can get their outs sorted promptly so we can get our final business wrapped up 🙏

Let me add here. We are having difficulty selling. Why? Because Daniel still wants a penny out of the pound., when to be frank, just write it off as much as you can. Take the loans with not great terms. We have money, and now we are stuck, because this is embarrassing.

Cheers for the info @What Lies Beneath love you long time <3

Does feel like though as the days go on and on with very little itk that we're likely done with incomings, i'd imagine anyone incoming now will be in the last few days of the transfer window when we inevitably get thrown "bargains" at us.

I posted in the Orban thread a couple of days ago he's someone we should take a punt at before another team snaps him up and in 2 years time he's a £80m player. It's always a risk but we seem to like playing chicken when it comes to players we like, for the sake of a few million we'll either piss off the selling team or wait long enough for another team to swoop in.

Really nothing new so can’t say I’m remotely surprised. Same story every window. Im skeptical now if we will shift enough to buy even Orban. Even tho he wouldn’t need to be registered. I get we need to free up space but it’s still just crazy that we’ve sold possibly our greatest ever player and we haven’t made any moves to fill the humongous gap he has left.

Is there anybody at the club questioning or pointing out we're always in the same situation?
This should be the reset to clear the decks and give AP a chance, but the resistance of progression, of changing bloody minded working methods is tiresome.

Apologies to CambridgeSpur (and anyone else) for coming across like a d1ck earlier, I just felt a lot of those replies were going to get the thread locked again based on all the same old same old Levy vitriol. For what it's worth he'd better bring in a striker and another defender.

Just sell the castoffs for the price you would want to sign them for.

A striker should come in regardless though. We've already made space for that position.

Appreciate the info. It’s Groundhog Day except we no longer have a superstar to bail out our inadequacies.

Thanks for the info WLB and Herc we all know were we end up with this. We will end up at the end of the window short as usual and the normal excuses of we were unable to shift players out and that has left us with to big of a squad so we have been unable to bring in the players we desperately need.

In terms of the ITK (and Herc's additional ITK)we just have to hope that the pressure on Levy will increase over the next 7 days to accept lower offers. I do think we should cut our losses on multiple players and be flexible, but then also for players like Hojbjerg - I realise that we shouldn't be getting our pants pulled down on the price too....

In terms of the loans I can see why we are trying to limit these in favour of sales /get better loan terms as in many cases it just kicks the problem down the road. Only occasionally does it work out (e.g. Lo Celso by the looks of it)
