I have a question. If all itk are from different sources, why do they all collectively go quiet at the same time ?

I have a question. Why do people insist on trying to get this thread locked ? I'm sorry this message isn't related to the itk either it's just infuriating when we log in later on to see the thread locked because of people that can't help themselves.

I do believe he´s on to something here; when, over the past 4 years, would one say that we have been a club where players will have had a positive development tactically, technically, physically and/or mentally? Spurs players might very well be seen as damaged goods because they are Spurs players.

This is a great point, which I've been thinking about for a while. Since the new training ground opened in 2012, IMHO how many players involved in the 1st team squad during the last 10 years have actually improved on their levels beyond their starting base ability and became better players? I thought of 10:
1. Kane
2. Rose
3. Vertonghen
4. Dele Alli
5. Trippier
6. Eriksen
7. Son
8. Walker
9. Dembele
10. Royal.

We must have had at least 250 plus, 1st team players over that time. There's been much more player regression, including some of those players on my list.

Can we please try and not get the ITK thread shut down again. It’s a Friday and times running out so hopefully we will get some news today. Here’s hoping anyway.

To keep it on topic. Re @What Lies Beneath last update on Felix. Barca are apparently getting very close to agreeing a €10 mil loan for Felix with Atleti. The sticking point seems to be that Atleti want an obligation to buy and Barca want just an option. Felix really has his heart set on Barca, apparently he’s wanted to go there since he was a child. I honestly struggle to see Barca agreeing to an obligation but Atleti are sort of stuck if Felix won’t talk to anyone else.

Would like to bring in 2 or 3 before the window closes, but not completely confident we’ll get them over the line in time. One CB, one winger and ….. I don’t remember the position of the other one. What’s the bigger issue, having a bloated squad filled with unsuitable players we’ve been unsuccessful in shifting for multiple windows or getting the right players in to give us the best chance of success and having a slightly more bloated squad. Get the players we need in as a priority or else we just continue with the same drama next window and next…..

Why can't people see that selling unwanted players is not easy. The players would rather wait to find as good an offer as possible and not care how that affects Spurs rebuild.
We can't always blame DL. Squad needs a rebuild and that can't be done in one window.

We do need another CB though so hopefully 2 out will be enough to get one.

So. If we have players the manager doesn’t want then it can be made it clear they are not part of the future, I seriously doubt Ange would turn down fixes for the positions he needs to upgrade just because Dier is still hanging around. I would suspect the real reason is the club doesn’t want to pay wages to players who aren’t being used.
