I'm not having it that we're getting rid of anyone that's been playing regulalrly this season or Ade for that matter.

Who'd buy Ade anyway? Levy would want £15m+ and his wages are beyond anyone who'd want him. I think he's fine with us and whether it turned to shit or not we're stuck with him; for me, a good thing.

'One of our best', on paper, Parker fits the bill due to his recent award winning and he's not the future. If Harry was dangling £4-5m in front of Levy he'd be crazy not to take it. Similarly, Dawson is 'one of our best'; ie. nearest thing we've got to a lifer, universally liked, i'm sure people around the club would be sad to see him go... All about perspective you see...

'Mourts' (what happened to his extra 'r' LOL!) not being straight cash sounds like it may well be a Levy special,, ie few quid up front and the rest on the never never. That has got to be the only way Levy will part with a big fee, and maybe that is why it's potentially a goer. Who knows, perhaps work has been done these past months, but if Zahavi isstill involved (is he?) i'll be getting excited as and when.

I speculated that a 'Willian' or similar deal could be funded 2/3 by sales a few days a go and it's not impossible. If we can get £5-6-7-8m for any 2 or all 3 of Dawson, Parker and Huddlestone, then Danny Boy is writing a small cheque, factor in that Dawson and Parker are most likely big earners and you've instantly freed up wage space for pricy players.

If it's all put together like Dawson, Parker, Huddlestone OUT £17m
Willian/whoever + Moutinho in c£40m

then we've spent the money we claim to have put by for Moutinho last window and have got in a couple of crackers, WITHOUT making Daniel cry. Wages would most likely be like for like.

Obviously, this is an ideal scenario, but as the Mayan calendar ends and we move into the transit of the Age of Aquarius, then ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! :)

I've just realised...if we ARE going in for Moutinho and possibly Willian, does this mean that AVB won the transfer committee battle royale we were told about?!;)

Also, everyone needs to stop talking about the possibility of us ever selling Sandro. Seriously, it makes me sad.

I reckon JJ means Porto would accept a more tolerable (to Levy) installment plan, whereas Shakhtar would want a bigger lump sum upfront, that's what I took it as anyway.
Indeed. Maybe they have found a way to work with DL, their chariman is one of the best in the biz after all. They get exactly the fee they want but on very friendly terms for us - spread out over 3 millenia.

Installments to Levy is probably a few of these at a time, installments once a week.

Also, anything Villas Boas says to the press is about as relevant as what I had for breakfast this morning (my daughter's leftover Shreddies FWIW). So all this 'Parker is the main man' horse manure will be taken with a massive pinch of salt, just like the Dawson 'He is my captain' stuff was in the summer.

We've got to remember, by and large, this is still mainly Redknapp's squad, i'm sure there's more than a few he's angling to trade up on long term.

this.

I've constantly read scousers (red ones) suggest adebayor could be a target of theirs since we got him off city originally. Are we gonna strengthen them? Have they got the cash to force Levy's arm? Very very doubtful.

I think it's BAE, if true at all. As for a Porto swap... It ain't very likely in reality now is it?

yeah it could be Parker if you think about it.... we would be in a very strong negotiating position as well despite his age and you would consider him one of our best, albeit he hasn't featured this season.

Harry would be bigging him up massively to the QPR board - and securing him could go a long way to keeping them up - what price could you put on that?

Porto need cash right now so probably won't be too agreeable to installments. If they need cash and sell one or two of their best players they won't be able to spend that cash on buying like for like replacements. Maybe the not a straight deal means we're prepared to loan them a player or two. If Parker has a big part to play might Sandro to Porto for half a season loan be feasible?

A player of Sandro's calibre doesn't move on loan. Not unless he's just knocked up the chairman's wife and daughter simultaneously. So, I'd think it pretty unfeasible. Besides, do they not have a bit of money from the Hulk deal?

Why? They just sold Hulk for 40m.

If they are getting a player out of it, it will be someone bigger than a player only worth a loan. They are fighting with Benfica for the league, and are still in CL, expect them to ask for someone that will play in the 1st team if it's a player swap.

I hope you're right but AVB may think Parker is good enough to keep us in the top 4 and next season we'd have Sandro back. In the meantime we'd have Mouts.

I wouldn't be surprised if we sold Parker and Dawson for big money to QPR in January, they'll be desperate and Harry will want players he can trust.
