I am completely fucking sick of this fucking overlong, drawn-out **** of a 'negotiation'.

Fuck Leandro, fuck Internacional, fuck it all. Fuck. Off.

Baldini's gonna come in, one phonecall:

'Leandro?'
'Who is this?'
'This is Baldini. There's a new sheriff in town. We've booked you a flight for this afternoon. Welcome to Tottenham'
'But what about Meester Levy and my agent?'
'Like I said. New sheriff in town. Pack your bags, son. Welcome to the senior leagues.'

If this is true then the worry is Levy will see it as us holding all the aces and take it to the wire like the LLoris deal. The risk then is we end up with nothing if it all falls through again.

so this saga is going to end August 31... or maybe not?

Hopefully the Leandro news is true. Move on to other targets and if Inter are still realising they've overplayed their hand in a few motnhs from now, DL will go in with a last week special. £50 and a packet of Spearmint Trebor.

Either way, they'll be lucky to get 60% of what they were asking for from any club. Hey, why not just sign him up to a new contract. He seems a very reliable striker for the Brasilian leagues and they've got a bit of money now.

It is maybe worth noting that AVB had this to say after the January transfer window closed.

'We’ve approached this market very, very sensibly,' said Villas-Boas. 'If (the price) was going to go out of proportion we would step out of it. We couldn’t agree on the full conditions so we move on. 'Will we sign him in the summer? I don’t think so. It’s probably finished by now.'

It is also worth noting that I pulled these quotes from the Daily Mail. So i'm not sure where that leaves it :cautious:

I know the DM aspect is most unbecoming but that is an actual quote all the same. No "DM sources understand" shenanigans.

Hopefully this is as advertised. We move on to other targets and if Inter are still realising they've been fucking idiots and are now facing cutting their losses, we can sign him as a Brucey bonus in the latter stages of the window. I still think he has Serie A written all over him but whatever.

Anyone on SO able to get the direct quotes?

In response to another poster saying "Simply do not believe any employee from our club has spent even 5% of the time suggested by the press on this guy", Archibald said:

we definitely have but now its probably dragged to much and they are coming back to us constantly.

I agree with every word, but god help me I'd still sign the boy if Levy could get us some payback (i.e. cheap deal) from this bunch of goons.

Someone just posted this on COYS in relation to Leandro:

"Not sure if it was posted but Archibald on SO posted last night that this deal has dragged too much now for us (as in the club) but Inter keep coming back to us trying to sell."

Very funny.. I guess that interest from other clubs was fictitious. Quelle surprise. As much as Levy's tactics can be frustrating, if he was 4m euros away from the pricetag last year (and changing each time) then I wonder what price they are trying to sell at this time.

I've got it, Hudd's hair has nothing to do with him scoring, it's about this damn Leandro deal, that's when he'll get it cut, when (if) he eventually signs.

Yep. A lot less. We've only ever been the only serious club as far I can see and DL has known that. They can try and float the names of other clubs as much as they like but the only serious offers have only ever come from us.

They have predictably overplayed their hand, which wasn't exactly a royal flush to begin with.

I do hope we have other targets though. Leave Leandro as a nice bonus striker late in the window if he's still available.
