How long can this court case run for?...

As long as required, but i think 7 days have been set aside..

Will he be fined or more severe punishment?

thats for the courts to decide. but the range of punishments, if found guilty tends to be along the lines of.Any UK resident found to have evaded tax will have to pay back the amount of tax owed plus interest. A further penalty of up to 100% of the tax due can also be imposed. In certain circumstances, (Super serious and therefore not in H's case i would surmise)those found guilty of tax evasion can face a prison sentence of up seven years.

I don't read newspapers, I'm too busy running a Company. This is not about transfer fees, yes we have plenty of cash to spend. Its about managing the clubs overhead and specifically players Wages.

Those players collectively probably cost us £15 - 20 million per year in overhead.

Quite honestly its time they got on with their careers elsewhere.

Redknapp saying Keane may have a future at the club doesnt help

Agreed. But I think we all know its just HR blowing bubbles. Keane's future is in the Championship now.

I Don't buy into this whole 'lets buy someone amazing to show Modric we mean business'

if he doesn't want to be here let him go, but make sure we get £40m+ for him. he is a little weasel but enough is enough, its not like he provides us with goals or assists.

i think Carrick could do his job.

Eek Modric is short, pale, shrew looking and dynamic; are you sure you aren't thinking of tall, darker, round head and less than dynamic?

Liverpool have as much deadwood as us but that didn't stop them from buying first ...i.e Aquilani, Konchesky Jovanovic, Poulson, N'Gog, Kryriakos, Cole, Agger

Danny Levy is just being Danny Levy

Those 2 aren't deadwood. The rest are okay except Konchesky who is diabolical. Thank the stars Levy is being himself, we need a stable sane man in charge

I’ve have enough with the modric rumors, we should get rid of the player, and move on like berbatov, set a price and if a club wants him then it’s this ,if not then bugger off. But what is annoying me the most is, yet again we are dragging our heels in the transfer market, and there seems to be a lack of direction yet again in this window. We should of have targets drawn up by now instead of trying to wait until the last minute to get the best deal. Our best signings over the years have been those that have been concluded well in advance of the end of the window, Modric, Berbatov, & Bale. I understand that levy wants to get rid of a few first, but you cant expect clubs to pay full whack for players that are part of our plans. If it meant losing a few million for the sake of progressing the club then we should not be trying to get the best deal for these, simply get rid and get on with getting players in.

I think this is right unfortunately. We have too many players who wouldn't be in either our first or second XI and we have to get rid of them before doing anything else. We really need to get rid of the likes of Hutton, Jenas, Bassong, Dos Santos, Bentley and Keane but at the same time make sure we get good money for them.

It's a tricky balancing act and one that won't be helped by a certain Croatian throwing all our plans into chaos.

I actually think, we shouldn't worry to much about the value for some, or we wont selling them, eg bentley, keane jenas, the wage saving and squad allocation will be the benifit

responding to the itk that says we are working very hard and exploring all avenues...

Unless we accept reasonable bids for our players and pay the going rate for our top targets nothing will get done.

We wouldnt give Luka away for 22m so i dont see why we think we can offer other clubs paltry fees and small wages and expect to land their best players!

I think we are going absolutely nowhere this summer. Deals were there to be made but we just dont have the decisiveness to act.

Unless there is some ITK today on Modric, can we please not post any Modric stuff in here and instead use the Modric is a **** threads in Spurs Chat or the thread bearing his name in this forum.

Thanks

Really? Wow! Was it lack to our decisiveness that we signed players like Modric and VDV?
Perhaps, we could have had more or better players but i am glad that our club is not in debt and we are also looking for a bigger better venue.
Its still early and we are panicking. Lets wait and see.

Rossi - closing in on a deal with Juventus that includes Melo going the other way.

Vucinic - Roma adamant they want to keep him, but he wants to move to another club as he'd had problems with their fans.

Leandro - looks like we're stalled too long on this and he's going to commit his future to Inter in the coming days with a big new contract.

So blue and yellow was referring to the colour our skin will go as we hang ourselves.

Seems to have gone quiet re Leandro, Rossi, Vucinic etc. Is this good news or bad?

No News Is Good News

I think the problem is not with money but with a big squad of deadwood and if we bring players before they go, it'll just increase our wage bill.

I think the problem is actually with having more players than we can fit into a finite number of squad places as it is...without adding any more.

What frustrates me is that we hear of a fee being agreed for Palacios and then a possible fee agreed for Hutton yet it takes soo bloody long to finalise these things!

Yeah, but these contracts, these days, they're like a full set of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

My woman's intuition is tell me this is the week something will finally happen

Liverpool have a weaker squad than us, and needed to act to replace players in and around the first team.
The nature of our deadwood is different, as it is as much about numbers as mit is about quality.
Don't buy into the theory that no-one would want them. Do think it is in Daniel Levy's nature to get best deals possible - which may be something we just have to accept as he runs the club so well.

So, there has been ITK on 3 teams in for Pav, then. I know this is an issue that divides, but of all our strikers, he is the one I would feel most comfortable with understudying a shiny new first choice striker...purely by dint of the fact that he has shown he can come off the bench and score, and I suspect the settling in period may have been exceptionally long for him and we might actually be just about to see the best of him just when we could be selling him. Just a hunch.

We are always like that

Regardless of the merit of the player, some of our bids are downright insulting ie 250k for the current Everton captain...remember those 6m bid for Downing every window when Boro clearly state they want 11m...now it's Parker for something like 3m which is way below Wham valuation

I think we should tell Voldemort he can go to, but to a non english team, and use him to prize away their top class striker.

There is still a long way to go in this window and I think it will all start moving this week.

Have we have booked an extra room at the court for Redknapp to speak to potential signings?

Hey guys, just a thought.
What would happen if Levy sacked Arry and brought Ancelotti in?
Do you think we'll be able to attract more players? Would Modric reconsider his move?
Just a thought...

i reckon he would have more of a pull,. but i dont want ancelloti, we will be a boring side if he is in charge, i would far far prefer Guss Hiddink! he also has the pull and respect of many a top player, plus hiddink plays good football style and has disciplione and demands respect from the players

we are in limbo at the moment for sure, we've got a big 6-7 weeks ahead of us,'Arry will get a custodial sentance when sorry if he gets found guilty, for those struggling to keep it together during this window i've found drinking large volume's of alchohol does the trick

Unlikely after the way we treated his fellow dutch man Jol... Can't see Arry going this year unless he gets sent down...

Finally the Samba news breaks, I think he will be a good addition to the squad. Will need to get me some new info now mine is all in the public domain.

All a bit depressing at the moment isnt it?

im sick to death of modric this and that, i really am.. if he wants to go sell him abroad. end of. again under no circumstances should he be sold to a rival for top 4 spot.sell him abroad and let him be out of sight out of mind. i will walk away from spurs if that happens. whats the point when you strengthen rivals for 30 pieces of silver. i think this modric situation has drogba swap all over it and it stinks to high heaven. we will back down mark my words.

Modders has fairly come out of this looking like a right little bastard, really surprised at him.

Now Rafa Van Der Vaart, that is a model professional.
