As much as I'd love to see some of you try and be accountants (something not even I would try and do), let's not go back and forth on the bankrupting element. Please.
This, it is truly painful to have to sift through this kind of thing, it's like everyone with a Xero account is now an accountant

Unfortunately the Rose situ has been around for a few months....we will see what happens....
On a recent podcast the spanish jouno Graham Hunter said a couple of week ago that he was informed that Rose wanted to go and Poch had issues with his personality. He also stated that he had heard that it'll be next summer as Poch didn't want to lose him and Walker in one window.

I know Graham isn't the greatest journo but has a lot of friends in the game through his constant arse licking!

ali z: The issue is we can't without bankrupting the club, not until next season at the earliest, whilst I am not happy with our transfer dealings this summer, I think there is not much they can do, though was told any extra transfer funds will be used to bump up some salaries with new contracts after the window is shut.

How come he whispered most of this?

Not questioning his source, but any one who can read a balance sheet knows that the "bankrupting the club" argument is nonsense. We posted a 35 million pound after tax profit last year. We just signed a kit sponsorship deal that pays an extra 19 million. We could increase our wage bill by 25% without breaking a sweat. It just drives down the profitability.

I am not one to stick up for Levy and the BS poverty rap, however, it can't be cheap to borrow £400m from the banks. Wonder what the annual repayments/interest is on this?

Well they are currently paying me 0.01% interest on my savings account so knowing what greedy bastards they are probably twice that .

Its not as simple as that, we are not aware of the financing terms of the stadium. In finance deals of this size there will be covenants that will ask Spurs to stick to business plans submitted as evidence of the financing. So if Spurs said "we can service this level of debt with our wages at level X" then they go and say "shit the market has moved lets increase wages by 25%" that deviates from the terms of financing, and they would have already planned for increases in sponsorship etc. A 25% uplift in wage bill is not sustainable in any business. No one could have bargained for the Neymar factor this summer with everything spiralling out of control.

Anyway I am taking a break from all of this, probably enforced by A&C after going off topic on the ITK thread.
