The whole interview doesn't make sense.
My take is rose wants to move mainly for the money but he doesn't want to come across as a mercenary so he is using a few other excuses to try to push through a move
The whole interview doesn't make sense.
This is part of why its all so odd to me, if contract negotiations had broken down and then he did this interview it would make the comments a bit more understandable. Not sure how DR and others would be able to complain as they pretty much all signed new recent contracts. If they didn't know they could get more money elsewhere then they need to get new agents.
But even if that is true I can't see the sense in this interview. My take is rose wants to move mainly for the money but he doesn't want to come across as a mercenary so he is using a few other excuses to try to push through a move
Sorry man, didnt see this before my post about thinking it was agent speakNot his agent he's flying solo on this one !
Ps can we put the info about Stoofs poo in the Read only and say it is a cryptic and watch the meltdown !
Is "exaggeration" your major in college? I dont think the majority of other fans have so much interest in Spurs news.
Granted it is a stupid mistake. But not an unforgivable one.
But even if that is true I can't see the sense in this interview.
That said I am drawing a line under Danny in this thread and moving over to the player thread.
The "man himself" on the 21st July literally said the words,"How have Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and different clubs tried to improve their season? By bringing in players and trying to put more pressure on their star players, their key players – and for us we need to do that too. For us we are a little bit behind, working hard in trying to finish and sign some players to try to help us bring some new energy and make our team more competitive". Fast forward a month and "what is seemingly too much to ask for is patience"?!!! Really?!! What is seemingly too much to ask for is a replacement right back. Tomorrow we are start the league campaign without a recognised first team right back, despite the "acknowledgement that our actual financial situation" sees the Club a whopping £70+ million to the good after player sales! Now, for me, the "bigger picture" is most importantly, supporting our manager by providing him with the reinforcements he's asked for, but as of now, and as the season kicks off, that clearly and unequivocally hasn't happened.
You'd think that the fact that right now the Chavs are £80m in the black with a very thin looking squad would make some posters realise that transfers aren't as simple as they like to make out, even for clubs where money is no object.John, we've discussed the concept of time previously. You'll note the date on which he said that, and you'll note the date of the words I'm referring to.
It's almost like some things may have happened during that time that meant the first thing said more time ago does not still ring true.
And yes, the world needs to be more patient as a whole. Chill the fuck out. Have a nice poo every now and then.
My thing has always been don't fly off the handle about things you're not certain of. And with three weeks left in the window, I'm not about to be a mentalist about stuff that could very easily change. Especially based on the most recent word from our manager.
"Scum of epic proportions". Absolute rubbish. He's a member of the team who's made a mistake in the way he's gone about airing his concerns. It's exactly this kind of thoughtless, disrespectful comment that has probably had a bad influence on his decision to speak out in the way he has.
No way, Barkley is not enough for Rose...now Gazzinga on the other hand should show him our ambition! If we sign Ross Barkley I'm expecting rose to come out and say how happy he is.
Yes, let's make SC even more toxicNot sure why anyone should be surprised by the Rose interview. Here is the Goat's ITK from 16th June which now seems very prophetic.
Who: The Goat
When: 16th June
Where: SC
The Goat hears (not for the first time) that there is unrest at Levy's tactics when it comes to contracts and signings, frustration from players, agents and others involved in transfers/contracts in and out. Sessegnon and his connections are losing patience as is Edwards and two or three first team players are interesting the Manchester clubs along with one other top (european) club. However it’d take an excessive bid for us to sell. These players do not include Kane or Alli. The Goat assumes these are Dier and Walker.
The Goat also hears that our wages policy is starting to bite and one or two aren’t convinced at our ambition…… it would be no great surprise to see a number of players leave over the next year or two and although Rose fancies a move is prepared to give it another year but Toby wants a get out clause in any new deal. As was the case last year, Pochettino wants new players in before the 2nd week of pre-season.
Posted...Still waiting for the Stoof poo cryptic in the RO guys, what's the hold up?
