Fazio is a good player and was the 2nd best center half we had last season. For sure not a donkey. But Dier is young and improving, and we signed 2 CB's. He's now surplus. Better to sell him, get the funds and give the playing time to Veljkovic and CCV.

If someone sees my Honesty as negativity that's their choice. People just get angry when they hear things they don't want too about Spurs. If we start winning games and acting like a cohesive, full flowing unit for a decent run of games, you'll quickly see my negative outlook disappear... oh and if we sign a bloody Central Midfielder.

From an unbiased point of view, if the first paragraph had been written by any other well known member there wouldn't have been an issue i think.

Those berating the poster constantly (boardering on a witch-hunt have the option to place the poster on ignore). If they decide not to then that points out to me that they are indeed just looking to provoke the poster and take cheap shots.

Everyone should be made to feel welcome as a fellow Spurs fan on SC unless their posts become racial, or homophobic in my opinion. Views on here are like arseholes, in the fact that everyone has one.

Can we give the whole Mike bashing a rest, please? Not only is it quite boring, some of the stuff he gets is quite distasteful. What's worse is that some people are not replying directly to challenge his opinion but just mocking him. He's a spurs fan. One of us. Who has never been abusive to anyone on here.

Glad someone said that, there are far worse posters on here and the amount of grief he gets is totally over the top. I'm sure he'll be a ray of sunshine if we ever sign a decent DM.

No - that was Grant Hall. Dominic Ball is still with the U21s, but is more a DM.

Ball spent second half of last season warming the Cambridge United bench.... Not the best of moves for him if he couldn't even get in to the starting XI of a team at bottom of L2. Anyway, that's OT.

Made 9 starts with 2 off the bench with 2 assists to his name, so not that bad. Besides which getting game time on loan is not guaranteed as Harry Kane found at Leicester for example, doesn't reflect ability.

Back to ITK, if Fazio is off we have 4 first team CB's plus back up from Veljkovic, Carter-Vickers and Ball, so no danger of running out of CB''s

Delighted if it helps get in another forward after N'Jie (ITK and press reports suggest he';s coming) and an experienced CM which ITK suggests is also being planned

If I recall correctly we haven't got any ITK yet on possible destinations for Fazio. Unless I missed something.

I think Poch doesn't want high wage earners hanging around the squad just being used as filler, which is admirable really. Basically if you aren't in the first team then you are a youth prospect.

A streamlined squad will definitely have it benefits, the main one being that in the future we should only need to dip into the transfer market to actually strengthen the team, which sounds so obvious but isn't a strategy we have had for a long time.

The Fazio Lyon stuff came from someone on Reddit who claims to have overheard a conversation Levy was having out in the US this summer. Took a picture which added credibility but not worthy of this thread.

No. But judging by people's views of him we will be lucky to sell him for anything at all.

As mentioned, selling Fazio makes sense if we really want CCV to
Get some first team experience (I think Veljkovic is likely loaned out).

I think we would have seen an improved fazio this season, but seems he really is going. The Goat is not often wrong!
