We don't do Celsius in 'Merica. Because it makes too much f***** sense. And the metric system is an Bilderberger plot to control you sheep.*

* I am a huge proponent of the metric system and celcius. But I'm all alone here

Happyspur .... I tried to send you a pm about Celsius and Fahrenheit, but was blocked. What do you have to hide, you dirty Farenheiter (I just invented a new perjorative).

I've kept out of this little discussion. It also doesn't say....

"When I arrived last year, Boateng was injured and he'd had a few problems,"Redknapp told the club's official website.
"I didn't really know much about him but I was listening to what other people were telling me about his character. They weren't painting a very good picture of him.

"I ended up asking myself 'Do I need him around here if it's true? Yet, on the pitch, I thought the kid could really play and I wasn't keen to sell him."...

Sorry Ryan :(.. I'll never get over the KPB sale. Who in their right mind, let alone a supposed 'top top manager' (just going along with the press, and himself) let's a player go, just because others weren't painting a good picture of him? WTF happened to a manager taking a look for himself & making his own decision? He felt "the kid could really play", yet he never took a look at him for himself. I may be alone in this, but a player like KPB would be bloody awesome in amongst Sandro & Dembele. I think he's more than proven his ability since the last fella we had in charge let him go. Again, sorry, Ryan!!

What were your thoughts on Ramos then? Who didn't even give Boateng a squad number and made him train with the reserves?

Wow. It's fucking epically surreal day when I have to defend Harry.

1) Harry gave him more time than Wendy

2) He wasn't all that impressive when he had a chance

3) He was a fucking headcase at the time. He grew up. But back then he was a nightmare. None of you remember him going out on the lash with Patrick Ebert and smashing cars. Nobody? Or the massive party that he personally claims hurt his career here?

Part of it was the changes in systems and the 3 coaches. But Harry saw poison and got rid of it. It was due to this that KPB got his damn act together.

Maybe things could have been done differently, but maybe not. It worked out for him and us.

Oh and new darling Jurgen Klopp said of his time at Dortmund that he was immature and tactically inept. He would have liked to keep him as a "project"

Lived in Helston too (Meneague Street & Parc Eglos). Also got my first ever job here in Cornwall, in Helston (whilst I was still at school). Used to be up at 4.30am, then go to the 'Horse & Jockey' bakery, to take the pasties out of the oven & put them out to cool. Then off to school (in St Just, 30 miles away lol), but 'twas worth it for the £50 p/w I got (y)

I went to school in Mullion.....good memories

My thoughts on Ramos will never be viewed on a public forum. My children will be THFC supporters (my eldest son already is) and it is just a matter of time before they frequent sites such as this one. I do not wish for them to learn the type of words that I would use when explaining my thoughts on Juande Ramos!!

Parker possibly on his way doesn't surprise me. We're clearly after another box to box CM. ITK has suggested Anderson, Mccarthy, Paulinho and apparently we had a bid turned down for Guarin.

Again, very well manipulated to suit your argument using just assumption :)

It's long gone now and probably best discussed in any other thread than this anyway

I accept it's assumption. But some of that assumption is based on what Redknapp himself has said.

I do not believe he had no idea what was going on and that he wasn't heavily involved in Nelson coming in.

Yeah, Parker, thanks for your efforts. [edit: I mean it!]
You were an honest but limited trier and if you want to start matches next year, it'll have to be somewhere else.
Makes sense really.

All these Parker to various places thoughts. I'd still put money on QPR to be honest.

Absolutely love Scotty but his limitations are obvious. I hope we're not trying to actively get rid of him as I'd much rather Hudd and Livermore leave before he does, but if we get a good offer I'll wish him well.

Palace'd make sense. He likes his London clubs after all.

The key part of the deal was bassong going to wolves. Harry had no say in that.

Contingency plans were put into place, I doubt Nelsen was the only option initially. I also don't doubt that he became the best option the later in the day we went

It was more than just 'efforts'. Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but it sounds pretty denigrating to me...?

He was well below par this year, but does anyone remember who our player of the season was the one before?

Probably not up to the standard we need any more, but let's at least give him the credit he deserves.

HS, the bit on bold. That is the ONLY part that can be argued (is wrong). I just literally quoted HR, he admitted himself that he never saw KPB & listened to others. It is that which puzzles me & pisses me off. This man, Mr Redknapp, is supposed to be some sort of 'God like man manager'. He is the man who can get inside a players head & make him believe he's a world beater, no? Yet he never even took a look at KPB for himself? Come on HS!!

Like I said, the rest of your post is absolutely spot-on, even KPB came out himself & admitted that he was a dick (though I think he credited his change of personality to his girlfriend?).. Anyway, the obvious point is that HR, the man manager, never judged for himself, the ability of a player. Unbelievable Jeff!!

PS, note Klopp would've liked to keep hold of him to see what he could have done with him, as a "project". Stark difference there, no?

I remember Harry saying after we signed Nelsen that you build Clubs around these sort of players. It was a ringing endorsement. Would be surprised if he hadn't suggested him to Levy in the first place.
