This cull should also mean, that for the next few windows we can concentrate our time fairly exclusively on incoming deals.

Poch is just trimming the squad to his preferred 22 + kids.

Future windows will probably be more 1 out, 1 in; or 1 out, youth promoted. But we won't have to shift anything like the 13-15 we have this summer again. I guess that's the consequence of having 4 very different managers in 3 years.

5 outs, 3 ins and about £75m worth of business is still a lot to do in the next 2.5 weeks, even if Nigel and Soldado happen today.

I thought that the ITK about Poch was that he prefers to bring through academy players and only buy in where he really needs to. That being the case future TWs are likely to be a lot less busy than this one, especially with the quality we have in the academy.

Future transfer windows are going to be fun in here then.

With Soldado leaving, we will have no striker on the bench this weekend either...... Seriously... They (Levy & Co) want CL, yet every season they handicap the team, by continuing to act like this....

Good teams don't do exciting/chaotic transfer. They just buy a particular choice player every now and then. Better we entertain on the pitch, than in our HR processes

I know that. But can you imagine this thread if we only bought one player a transfer window? They'd be fights/suicide/panic/anger/depression 10 times worse than it is now.

It will be fun.

TBH, we haven't had a 'striker' on the bench for almost a season now. It can only get better under Poch IMO.

Unless Poch gets sacked of course...

But yeah that's the plan, seems Poch took a year to assess the players so this year was always going to be high turnover, especially with the likes of Kane and Mason rising to take a squad place. I'd imagine after this window our business will become a lot more streamlined.

Depends, normally the meltdowns are based upon a glaring need for a certain type of player, such as pacey forwards and a top quality DM this year. If we have most bases covered I think plenty will be ok with a quieter summer.

If I can manage to resist responding in kind to posts like this every time they appear in this thread, then surely you and others can resist posting them?

If you want to discuss Levy, our goals and ambitions then there are plenty of us happy to do so, but in one of the numerous threads on the subject you can find in Spurs Chat.

Ss we will always need 1 or 2 players. Even if we won the league we'd still be looking for that final piece of the puzzle.

That random airport info, plus if Lamela has posted a goodbye, sounds promising. There were multiple suggestions from Trix/JJ/GF about how transfer dealings are all small parts of one big puzzle, and once one piece fits, the others fall into place.
Njie gets the green light, so, confident we have boosted our attacking options, we pull the trigger on Soldado leaving, then with his fee and wages in hand we go after our next target... Fingers crossed. I'm expecting the Berahino rumours to pick back up now.

Does seem an element of deck clearing, down to 2 per position plus youth options. Not a bad route to go down. Can look towards adding just one key player per year in future, rather than wholesale changes.

If Soldado is sold, then that is surely as sign that we have signed another striker. Soldado would have been sold a month ago if it wasn't for waiting for an incoming.
