Don't think we've ever come even close to sorting out the squad like this before.
Exactly.

English 'nonplussed' or United States 'nonplussed'? Genuine question, as I would like to know what Poch's reaction was.
What I dont get is a- SB has had a partial medical (as per A &C /Goat info ) why did he not finish the whole medical and compleate the deal?
Because that's not how transfers work when you have more than one club (potentially) interested. Probably best to discuss this in the SB thread. What I dont get is a- SB has had a partial medical (as per A &C /Goat info ) why did he not finish the whole medical and compleate the deal?
He took a tour of the training facilities and we likely did the phyiscal part of the medical. The other part is review of medical records. Those would need to be released by the current club and/or player's physicians. What I dont get is a- SB has had a partial medical (as per A &C /Goat info ) why did he not finish the whole medical and compleate the deal?

Surprised more isn't being made of some kind of Berahino / Fazio swap deal. Their interest in Fazio was trailed in the press again today including local Birmingham-based papers who often get good info. This type of deal is hard to make work I know (perhaps why the ITK about lots of crossing t's etc) but it would seem to make sense for both sides. They get the type of centre half Pulls likes and £12- 15m to cover Rondon. We get our primary target and loose a centre half we don't need (with 4 first teams and the likes of Carter Vickers behind them). I'd also guess that Fazio's wages would cover a large part of Berahino's.
You do the math.Could care less or couldn't care less??
You do the math.

We've always been 'close', but we've never got there apart from 11/12 perhaps. There's a long way to go yet, NJie looks 99% now but even after him we are still 2 players short incomings wise, and I don't feel either a striker or midfielder are particularly close to signing yet.Don't think we've ever come even close to sorting out the squad like this before.
As above, medicals can be more complex than just running and stuff. Innit.
Great news that things are looking more positive on this front, which makes the delay from possible 'part-medical' to agreement and announcing a deal less likely to be due to him not wanting to come.
My understanding was that he wanted to come to Spurs, but so did Will.I.Aint.
You couldn't use nonplussed in the context he's tried to in English; maybe you can in American?
Basically nonplussed means taken aback, confused or meanings to those effects.
[Edit] Having now read up on it, it looks like nonplussed in the American sense (which I never knew existed) is only about a decade old. I haven't read the why of it, but I suspect it's people getting it confused for not fussed or something, but assuming it was a French way of saying it, kind of like Delboy would? Using it that way on this side of the Atlantic you'd definitely come across as a bit of an idiot. Anyway, I think if too many start using it in the new sense then it will just make the word obsolete because it can't possibly mean opposite things.
[Edit] Thanks @JerryGarcia sod the rest of you
