He loathes them. Hates the games. He's one of the classiest managers we've had. Bill Nic would be proud.

THIS!

Probably the biggest reason we've all unanimously agreed on the transfers out in his reign, is the same reason DL has taken a massive leap in trusting a manager with the long term future of our beloved Spurs.

Soldado seems likely to be off then. I won't post the same thing that's been posted a million times already but I genuinely will miss him although I think we all know it's best he goes. I've been very impressed with the outgoings. Whether it's Levy/Baldini/whoever, they deserve lot of credit.

However, despite the fact it's good to get rid of the unwanted, free up wages and trim the squad, it's only with it if you bring in a few quality players. I don't know much about N'Jie, seen as he's only been around for a year I don't think anyone does, but it's great to see us taking a gamble on him. I'm hoping this will be confirmed tomorrow, I expect it to definitely be done by the end of the weekend. I think it's a very exciting season and he could prove to be a really shrewd bit of business. Maybe he'll fail, but he's still young and has a lot of resale value, especially as he's relatively low cost so the risk is little. I am happy to he bringing in players like this.

However, I'm panicking for others. I look at other targets, at least targets that the common fan is aware of and I only see Berahino. If we sign him I'll be delighted but I think it'll go down to the deadline and we'll miss out, purely based on what normally happens! He might be too expensive, maybe WBA are being unreasonable with their asking price. It seems Levy might happily play it out knowing WBA will have to sell in order to make up for net spend, however one of the Mancs might swoop in or maybe wba just won't budge enough to suit Levy, in which time it might be too late to get a replacement. After Berahino I only see Hernandez, maybe a backup but we don't know if we actually want him or if he wants us. I like him but I do fear he'll fit in about as well as Soldado, also, if United let us sign him then come next summer they might use it to their advantage to sign Hugo.

CM is my biggest concern because there's seemingly no realistic targets out there, none that'll improve us anyway. Again, this is obviously based on what I know which obviously isn't a lot, there might be all sorts going on behind the scenes but based on what I do know, I'm worrying. Bender is currently the only CM who seems even a little plausible and that's gone very cold, also don't know if he'd want to join, BVB would be willing to sell or Levy would want another sicknote, seems doubtful!

I'm a bit happy with how the window's gone but we must bring the right players in and as the clock ticks my confidence decreases. I really hope we've learned from the past but I wouldn't be surprised to be stuck with a few panic buys or no-one at all. Please, please get it right lads

I'm honestly extremely surprised none of our top 4 rivals have tried to gazump us for berahino, just for the sake of screwing us over...it's so obvious he's our only option at this point in the window, and if we don't get him wed be left incredibly thin at striker. Our season would be done if Kane got injured at all.

Should be 6-8 rivals not top 4

Sitting in the BA lounge in Newark; I can confirm that no Red Bulls players are on their way to London this evening

Useful info. I was in the first class lounge at Liverpool Lime Street station last night and can confirm I didn't see McCarthy on his way to London either. I will be driving on the M6 later today so will give more info as I get it.
