Only concern I have with that itk is the RB situation, really can't believe we would let him go with no other RB in the squad. Would be bad business going into negotiations with other clubs.

Think it more likely that we need to sell Aurier before they can bring in a replacement right back. Imagine if (Hopefully more likely when) Aurier leaves we will have a target lined up to replace him and hopefully move quickly to get that deal done so no to leave us short in that area.

I understand that, also believe we would be looking at several RBs. But surely you would do what other clubs do and not release Aurier until we did have someone signed.

Sabitzer would be an incredible signing. Having two new leaders in that midfield area would really improve us IMO. He can really play too. Hope we can find a way to get it done.

Interesting about LB also, maybe Sess ends up our out on loan after all.

I agree. But like Herc said, it would be really hard to pull off, given both competing interest and our paucity of funds. Therefore, I only see this happening if Ndombele leaves or if a combo of Sissoko and Lamela are sold to gather enough moola to make a bid. would be extremely surprised if this came to fruition.

Sanitizer news is exciting but I imagine he only comes if we raise the funds by selling a certain other central midfielder. If Serge our is close I can only assume so is a right back in given that he’s our only one. Interesting to see us being linked to a left back. Haven’t seen any such links.

Estupinan the watford left back who was at osasuna last season. I’d love it if we signed him, an athletic, quick player with a wicked delivery. He’s the modern fullback.

Which is interesting as Aarons’ name has been kicked about a lot, but apparently it’s not happening.

However, it’s always worth remembering that different ITKs (and journos) have different sources and hear different things at different times.

I am so happy with ALL of this.

Squad balance accounts for a huge amount in football. Our squad has been woefully out of whack in this regard for some time. We already have elite players in our first 11, they needed a solid base to work from and that comes from signing the likes of Hojbjerg etc.

So excited to see what we do at RB and CF specifically and anything after that is a bonus IMO.
