its not absolute rubbish mate.Iif we sign any top player likE a rossi he will be on top wage so imo modric should be on more. From what i hear modric cud be on 70k a week before tax and other say 45k a week. I dont give two shites whats he is on on who says what. Th fact of the matter is he should be the top wage earner at spurs no matter who we sign.

70K is alot less than 85 or 86k. modric deserves to be best paid. he's earned it.

Modric will get paid whatever him and his agents have agreed with the chairman. If someone comes in after and earns more (because the chairman believes he is worth it) and Modric doesn't like it, then I am sorry, but in my opinion, Modric can foxtrot oscar.

with that sort of attitude im afriad its no wonder top players from this club walk away. You have to reward people who do well and im sure he is big wage already but if we truly want him to stay we are going to have to fork out more. He is not going to be replaced lightly and would set us back years imo if he goes.

A front trio of Vucinic, Rossi and vdV would give us tremendous flexibility, as well as quality:

Vucinic as a #9 or wide left forward

Rossi as a last shoulder or a wide right forward or a #10

vdV as a floating #10, a wide right forward or a midfielder

Awesome.

That is the absolute dream scenario this window. Lets just hope someone finally takes Keane and Defoe of our books to help make it happen. We could probably still accommodate Crouch and Pav.

This is the last I will say on it:

We did reward him when he played well. 6 years and a big increase on his pay packet. If he wasn't happy with it, he should have said. No player is bigger than a club - end of.

Rossi is not a last man type player. He drops into space alot of the time.

VDV was at his best last season when playing as a second forward. You could tell when Harry had told him to stop dropping so far into midfield and his form improved as a result.

VDV is a guaranteed starter, and for me there's only room for 1 striker next to him. That needs to be someone with presence and aerial ability in the box.

Just my opinion of course.

The key is fluidity and interchanging positions.

Rossi----vdV----Bale
-------Vucinic

ie.

Kuyt--Gerrard--Suarez
-------Carroll

Therein lies the problem. No decent club in their right mind would want either of them and as both players opinion of self worth is so detached from their actual status as players, it's difficult to see them accepting moves to low ranking clubs on much lower wages.

I don't know about that. keane possibly, but Defoe has done it before at Portsmouth.

Not picking on you, as others have mentioned it, but Rossi IS the last shoulder striker. Honestly. He is.

The key is fluidity and interchanging positions.
