A tasty amount of ITK to get through as yesterday saw no less than 6 new utterings, including the almost obligatory cryptic

I overheard this exchange in Tesco yesterday as a store employee walked up to a small child crying and said 'are you lost little boy?

What's your mummy like?'

The boy replies "vodka and big cocks"

OK on with the ITK, first up we have this........

The Adebayor interest is true. Also we had an inquiry for Shawcross rejected by Stoke. Fulham have put in a bid for Keane and the Parker deal is being held up becuase Levy is refusing to meet the 8 million asking price and is exploring other younger options like Jack Rodwell...
Which is nice and straightforward.

Then POTL cleared his throat and warmed up with a small or semi-cryptic

Wages. turn the pages. its wages.
For. Fucks. Sake

Then, almost immediately...........

We have not made any enquiries for Shawcross
There. Much better, clear and to the point.

Been told that Leandro's wages wont be a problem...Just the simple fact we havent yet agreed the fee yet..

past wrongs recovered in songs alas its blue and yellow.
Also:
uncryptic for your patience. ohara tba shortly. all done.
Yet another fucking cryptic. I'm making it my personal mission to not give credit to any ITK posting a cryptic who later points at a deal and says 'it was this' it was bollocks it was it is.

I read this earlier this morning in an article about accidental deaths in Tudor times............
In 1557 when the Duke of Norfolk's horse stumbled on a road in Tottenham, his gun went off and shot dead a servant.
I wonder if POTL fancies a job as my Butler? :)

Finally archibald got involved in the days events when very late on this was posted this about Leandro

wages are the issue, still the third party scenario and how wages are paid and to whom!

and then, when asked if a fee had been agreed

dont know, deal is close but still these issues.. i honestly dont know as not an easy one!

In other news:
My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary. She said, "I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in about 3 seconds."

I hope she likes the set of bathroom scales I got her

And that's all for today.

That he'll probably point to our next signing and shout triumphantly....

"See? I was right.....All hail the Phantom, king of ITK"

I think you're about right there. Seeing as how nearly all our targets can be associated with a blue and yellow mix of colours, he can probably do that and get away with it quite comfortably.

I'll donate for every non-cryptic ITK POTL posts today. Who else is in?

Apparently he needs to be cryptic to protect his source, so it can't be any well known footballer that we've been linked to in the past, otherwise suddenly being connected to them would be too obvious.

All of which points to Antony Worral Thompson.

He also said he'd tell us why he was being cryptic in January, yet never did so. Hard to believe what he says seriously since he works at QPR and his Spurs source is supposedly Aaron Lennon.

Not trying to bash him, just trying to work out why he cant tell us what was up with his posts in January.

To be honest, I've always took it to mean that negotiations are at a sensitive stage and the club are desperate to keep things under wraps so as to not draw any attention from other clubs to the player.

Once the deal is advanced enough to the point where we're confident of completing the signing, Pottle will let us know properly.

It seems not so difficult as far as cryptics go:

'past wrongs recovered in songs alas its blue yellow'

As someone previously explained:

past wrongs - getting sent off in the world cup for England

recovered in songs - Don't cry for me Argentina

alas - A = one of, LAS = LA's

its blue and yellow -

Yeah but why would anyone be cryptic about a beckham transfer?! That's one way to ruin any credibility. Surely he is only cryptic to protect the club and source when we are trying for a huge transfer!

I've figured out the blue and yellow bit,
the song Blue (da ba dee) is by Eiffel something or other, yellow submarine is by the beatles,
we are going to sign a french player that is a super sub and is also wanted by liverpool, Gervinho.
or it could be Leandro as in blue and yellow in the brazil kit, or it could be the lyrics from the used song blue and yellow :

Should've done something, but I've done it enough.
By the way, your hands were shaking.
Rather waste some time with you.
Harry's staying!
or it could be a million other things. shit.

I thought the consensus was Adebayor because of the elephant song.
