Keep hearing the couple expecially that is been worked upon (DM and striker) if it comes off we will be excited. No big mega money, but huge coups on talent alone. McCarthy we were never going to pay over or near 20m for him, (but interest is there)with his injury record. Loads of agents pushing and leaking to media names we have been offered but not remotely interested in, whilst others we may have an interest, but won't be used as an auction start price to get biggest offer for their player.
Regardless of what anyone is saying Rabiot's team want us to pursue. As I said before we only want a permanent deal, and if a loan option in our favour to buy at end of loan at a set price now. Expect another Belgian in the forward department is a strong possibility, and not the one from Everton (Mi'rls). Daniel is a very shrewd operator, and management in tandem with what is going on. This is what I have heard.

No big money signings and no ITK. I'm actually fine with that.
I've long wanted us to adopt the Swansea and Southampton template of scouting well and bringing in players who while not yet the finished article have potential. We can't compete with the big clubs for the established top players. The next level sees teams like Liverpool massively overpaying for the current 'flavour of the month' and that doesn't appeal either.
With a good reputation for developing young players we may become the go to club for ambitious prospects who don't want to take the first big contract they are offered by the moneybags clubs and spend their career rotting in the reserves.
I think all the signs are that this is the route Levy has chosen. We may see a few of our successes sold on for big money but until the new stadium is paid for that is just a fact of life.
That may also explain the current dearth of ITK. There are far more clubs in the market for that sort of player so the information is sensitive whereas the Willian deal showed that if we are going for established players and one of the big clubs wants them we really aren't in the race.

Levy didn't say that FFS.
Good to hear that will be excited, but that excitement will be limited if we don't buy a pacey winger as well. Although the mention of a 'forward' may indicate we are looking at a winger in addition to DM + Striker. It's not really clear. Maybe the Belgian is Januzaj or Mertens...? Could be Batshuayi but apparently there's no way Marseille will sell.

Yeah I'm not sure where these players with massive potential but reasonable fees are gonna come from.
We seen players like cabaye, Payet and Ayew move, we hear we're gonna sign better players than them, where from?
He sort of did.

apologies, his quote does show he expects it to be the time for movement, unless something unforseen happens.
It does marry with some of the ITK stating we are having to wait for the bigger fish to get out the pond.
