This club infuriates me. Beckham and Parker. Beckham and Parker. Beckham and Parker. Fucking just sale Modric, Bale and Sandro so you can pick up Kanu, David Weir, Kevin Phillips and Heskey. Let's be done with the pretense.

I think you need to take a step back, and not get so wound up. It's ITK, it's to be taken with a heft dose of salt, and it's only the 16th May, you'll have a fate worse than fazza, the rate you've started.
Beckham and Parker would each bring something to the squad.

But this has been the same record that's been played since Harry started.
When Bale becomes a world beater because Harry is forced to play him....he doesn't learn
When Rose continues to impress because of necessity, he doesn't learn (to the point of freezing the lad out of the side for a year)
When Sandro throws us for a loop because of injuries, he doesn't learn.
He only plays kids under duress. And this wasn't what he was like at West Ham. He developed a fantastic amount of kids. So why the change. I don't get it
I'm not pie-in-the-sky. We can't be Dortmund and play a team of U23's and win the league. I get that. And I think leadership is important, but it exists outside of age. That comes down to intangibles. King has been the leader of this team forever and walks on the pitch and we shut down one of the hottest attacks in the game. It's not because he's nearing 30. Because 6 years ago, he did the same thing.
And I get its ITK....but there is a reason that these are believable while Marin or Sakto make you giggle

With one of the ITK suggesting that Levy has fallen out with Harry and Levy not liking to sign players with no sell on value .... why are we being linked with all the deadwood (Friedel, Beckham .... and injury prone Parker) again.
Osvaldo is another player we should stay clear of .... other than 1 decent season (2006 -2007 with Lecce), he's failed in Italy (Fiorentina & Bologna) and managed a mediocre 12 goals (approx) with Espanyol .... not forgetting that he's recently had 2 serious injuries and hasn't played over 25 games in a season since his time with Lecce!

I agree. Except I don't think King is a great leader just a top class footballer.
But I said pretty much in spurs chat the other day. There's no point in signing someone just because they are experienced, we need leadership, but not at the compromise of quality. Parker is an injury prone 31yo who I wouldn't pick ahead of Palacios most weeks. And as for the ITK on Beckham, I wish Noodles would go back to ambiguous riddling.

If were going to persist with a 4-5-1, we need either a beast or pacey striker.
I'd happily start the new season with Llorente, Milito/Negredo and Sturridge.
People will laugh but Kalou is a talent going to waste at Chelsea.
If Lennon leaves then he must be replaced with someone just as good if not better .... Young/Perotti (two footed winger at Sevilla).

That's the thing, everyone keeps talking about buying Sturridge but after the promise he's shown surely Chelsea won't be looking to sell him. It would send the wrong message to their other youngsters if a good prospect like Sturridge still gets sold.
