I'm not saying he wouldn't come here, and I'm not arguing that there's mutual interest.
I'm just saying that, personally, I think he will still end up at Liverpool.
They may make a bigger offer financially in terms of a transfer fee and wage packet.
I'm glad he's apparently going to weigh up his options, as anyone in their right mind would do so.

I think Liverpool have largely been linked because they lost Gerrard in the summer and there's always this idea that they never replaced Xabi Alonso. It's an easy link for the press to do but I've not really seen any genuine traction to the story, only ever been a tenuous link.

He'd be the perfect choice to fill that hole in our CM so lets hope we can get it done.

So Illarremndi has played 59 league matches over the past two campaigns and 90 overall. Did they buy somebody that would make a move imminent. Because why would a guy who is 25 and starting for Real Madrid move to anybody? I imagine I'm just missing a bit of info.

With the way some ITK have been treated this window when they've made certain statements I'm going to hazard a guess that Trix wouldn't come out with something like this if he wasn't at least somewhat confident that the transfer could get done. I'm not saying he said it will definitely happen but I think you're being deliberately contrarian if you just dismiss his information and say the player will go to another club or has no chance of coming here.
