Hmmm... Can't imagine Levy being so specefic in saying he'd sell Modric for money and one of those players especially after his initial statement. I still can't see Levy budging.

Eriksen does look a classy young player. My concern though is that he might struggle in CM in a 4-4-2 with 2 wingers.

I thought he was more of a number 10, VDV type player?

I'm sorry but some people on here.

POTL has stated time and time again that Luka Modric is not going anywhere.

Daniel Levy has stated time and time again that Luka Modric is not going anywhere.

Farcical ITK has cropped up stating that Chelsea will unveil Modric today, which no media outlet has picked up on, and everyone here shits themselves.

Why not trust the only ITK who is 100% reliable and trust the chairman who has not only the clubs future on the line, but his own ego.

POTL stated that Diarra was done 2-3 weeks ago. Still sure of that 100% record?

Words can't express how bored I am with this whole TW.

It would have been a whole lot more enjoyable if I'd been in a car crash just after our game against Brum, ended up in a coma, only to be revived on the 1st sept.

To quote Verbal Kint, 'fucking ITK!'

Would you really wanna miss a chance at seeing that many games?

Money talks though. A ridiculous amount could turn his head. And here I'm talking 50-60+. I'd sell for that.

And in all honesty, if we are in for Eriksen, then Modric can just bugger off, cos Eriksen is some player!

Erikson's agent said he turned down a move to City earlier this window and said it is too early for him to leave Ajax as he wants to stay and continue his development... Article on goal.com

If he turned them down he is unlikely to join us for same reason...

This thread is largely full of opinion; mostly heat, little light; so take this in that context. The intentions at the start of the window were: 1. Hold on to the stars. 2. Sell the Dross. 3. Buy adequate upgrades. Levy understandably (and rightly imo) gave Chelsea the reaction they deserved when they came knocking. Now, less than two weeks before the end of the window Levy and HR realise that they won't be selling who they want to sell because either nobody is interested at their prices and/or because the players themselves don't fancy the move that is being suggested. And in turn, they won't be able to bring in the required quality to bring us to where we want to go. So a rethink is needed on the Modric decision. And HR's comments yesterday were the start of a public recognition that maybe a deal could be done.

I don't know much about erikson but judging by some of your erections (only the angles, not the size) he must be pretty tasty.
Head and shoulders above the entire England team in the friendly game last autumn. Showed real quality and is still just 19. Bring him in and let him learn from VdV and he will be a top class player.

But, as others have said, both Ajax and more importantly he himself have said that he won't move this summer.

Yep smacks of missinformation or speculation from an external source ...

Goughmeister on Coys saying he's been told from within Chelsea they're announcing Modric signing today.

Goughy's a legend.

Send himy regards and tell him to sod off.

Bacon. Only the good stuff.

Steve Porker.
Daniel Sty-ridge
Gregor Swinesson
And from Barcelona, the ex-United centre half:
Gerard Streakee' (Pique)

Yeah, I know. If you have to explain it, it's a bit shit. Still, Swinesson was good.

Eriksen would make sense as a Modric understudy/eventual replacement.

I don't think Modders will be sold this year, maybe a gentleman's agreement like the Berbatov scenario. Either way it's a bit shit, but hey ho.

Oh yeah 4 days until United away...still nothing confirmed. Getting a bit tight here.

So the best way to get to where we need to go is to sell our best player and likely not get a replacement?

Not buying it.

Schweinsteiger? That means pig riser-rising or something in German.

Sure I remember Harry saying he rated him a year or so back. Tenuous I know, but seems to fit! :)

Or maybe 'bacon' just means we're dealing with West Ham?

Mind you West Ham and the phrase 'good stuff' doesn't really work does it.
