I don't know if this has been discussed, but there was a giveaway last night in some of the discussions. And that was that Harry's case is bad and he may go to jail. * That may or may not be true, but its not the only time recently that this has been suggested.
If this is the worry, I imagine this might be why there are no purchases at the moment.

Yup, think there was some hinting that maybe Harry hadn`t been exactly truthful with the board about the seriousness of the case, which is in itself is the epitomy of irony....

This statement has made me sooooo happy. I was practically on suicide watch last night and this morning. The only thing that could have cheered me up was waking up to find out i was being noshed off by both Monica Bellucci and hayden panettiere at the same time. And even then I would have been crying about luka the whole way through.
Mr Levy has just bettered that.

When i said he was a backstabber, i meant more in terms of him wanting to join Chelsea.
If he came out and said that he wanted to leave and join a big club on the continent to win trophies, then fair enough, i'd be sad to see him go, but would wish him luck.
the part that would make him a backstabber, if it is true, is that he wants to leave and join Chelsea, a club who are not just a Premier league rival but also a London rival.

Right, you lot may think I'm an idiot for this, but could we start a twitter campaign between us? Tweet all the journo's and anyone linked with the club (including the clubs official twitter) #THFC need a world class striker (or whatever) to make it clear what the club wants. There are so many of us on this board that if we all sent a message it would definitely make a difference... The idea though would be to all do it within the space of about a day. Is anyone with me? I'm sure someone could script a message that would be suitable and persuasive

We could do it about a specific player... and try to inadvertently tap them up / turn their head.
Or spread it that Luka was tapped up and chelsea will face sanctions as they're still on 'probation' after the gael kakuta affair. If they're not already, people might start to look into it.
It would be beautiful if the chavs were banned from signing players. :razz:
This is a truly excellent idea,be truly brilliant to see Chelsea squirm a bit.
I'm sure they'll get out of it using Roman's millions tho'.

Great statement from Levy and Modric only has one move left if he wants to go and thats a transfer request, which could still be refused anyway.
However his recent quotes talk constantly about still being happy here and he would never force a move.
Levy has put him right in the corner and the onus is purely on him now....try to force it, putting his words to shame, or do some major backtracking and come out with a statement saying how he's looking forward to the new season with us etc..
Either way Levy has protected himself and the Club with this statement.
Over to you Modders.
