I've not seen him on Sunday Supplement or heard him on air before - is he reputable?Yeah, he was on after Harry this afternoon, very level headed and seemed to have no anti-Spurs agenda unlike most who have been given airtime on the situation.
Has anyone else heard the Smith interview with talksport regards Spurs position? He says he believes there is no chance Spurs will sell even at £60m due to various repercussions not just fan backlash either.Dunno who the woman was but she kept on probing and to be honest I would be more worried if I was a chav fan than ours lol

Was good.
Someone in the media that has no anti-spurs agenda mg: I always thought that was an urban myth
seriously though, Levy has but his balls on the line by stating, at least twice, that Modric, or any of our star plays, won't be sold this summer. If he was to cave in and sell Modric, it could have massive repercussions for the club, with Levy's posistion being almost untenable because no one would beleive a word he says.
It's only the initial monitoring period at the moment - full regulations not in place till season 2012 - 2013.Those financial fair-play regulations are really making a difference, well done UEFA!

Poor Cheryl is exhausted, it must be so tiring flying to exotic places without ever actually doing anything
I wouldn't be so sure this time, they have previous and they're begging to made an example of I reckon.
Peanut is right. I posted it in the mod forum a couple of hours ago. Kia is the one who leaked the Chelsea bid to the media, and has been the go between for Chelsea and Modric. I wouldn't be surprised if the Modric "quotes" were from him too.
Archie on SO said:Luka Modric is a fantastic footballer. One that would grace any team in the world.
He has high ambitions and can he achieve them at THFC?
We would all like to think he can but ultimately would he be better off at Chelsea or Man Utd- yes he would!
I have maintained from the end of the season that Levy would not sanction a move unless Luka formally handed in a transfer request which of course he hasn't done. This would force levy s hand to make a decision about what is in the best interests of the club and i think would ultimately make Levy start an auction for our best player whilst ensuring we get the best possible price.
levy has today gone one better than above and publicly stated he will not be sold...
he cant backtrack on this now or Levy will be ridiculed by the press and all Spurs fans! Agents will also see him perhaps not as the chairman whom sticks to his word and is that hard to do business with and can be manoeuvred around.
but what of little Luka.
Did he say everything that has been reported?? Did he even speak to a journalist?
IF he did, and its a big IF, as it could have been many an agent(3 or 4 profess to be involved with him) were his words changed or phrased differently to create shock and put a spin on this story...
Allegedly Luka said i want to go to Chelsea, many of the best players play there and so do I. - How do we know the reporter didn't ask would you like to play for Chelsea with all there wonderful players one day and Luka replied of course maybe one day!
Many other points in the interview could have been changed to suit the article.
Does it make sense that 4 weeks ago luka said he was happy where he is publicly.
The press and agents are ruining this game but most of all money controls everything. The funny thing is its not the money that is the driving force for Modric.
Luka is a quiet humble man whom is a professional. Ultimately he could triple his wages and play for a bigger or better club but he wont rock the boat, he is, as stated happy in London and happy at Spurs(for now). Gone are the days when we can expect a Mabbutt or a Perryman unless we win the league and Champions league every year. Without a larger stadium we will never achieve this - we just cant compete. Are we therefore a selling club? no we aren't although we need to be run carefully unless we have an Oligart or Sheikh at the helm! Therefore i suppose eventually he will be sold to the highest bidder if we don't achieve the above.
There is certainly no place for Spurs fans to boo him next season. He will put in 100% for our team and perhaps may be sold the following season.
But, don't believe all that you read and Levy has made it clear what the clubs intentions are...Those of you whom are already calling him a c**t are just plain stupid. Its business, but a business that is tangled in money, deceit, and agents and none of these help. Therefore put yourselves in Levy s shoes.. it aint easy. but then again it isn't easy for luka.. imagine how many people are sticking their oar in at the moment...
I still stand by the fact that Luka will play for us in 2011/2012 and we will see what happens after then...
Therefore for now get behind the player and the Chairman and lets see what pans out. If he is sold ultimately we know we will get the best possible deal and replace him as we have done previously with others.
COYS
A lot of revisionism going on there.
Hoddle wanted Eto'o but Real Madrid still had an option/part ownership of him which screwed things up.
Hoddle wanted Morientes but there were injuries at Madrid and he was convinced to stay another year (and went to Monaco the summer after that). So we bought Robbie Keane (our player of the 00s) instead.
The only player Levy ever stopped Hoddle buying was Lee Bowyer, but that was to do with the club's reputation. Appears he did the same re Redknapp and Bellamy. They were not about money though.
Santini left because he wanted to live by the sea (or something). Arnesen was signing hundreds of players for him.
vdV and Sneijder were well out of our league at that point. He did want Kuyt, but Comolli won the argument and we bought Berbatov instead.
I got called away this afternoon to fix the engine on the wifes dildo and only just finished. Have I missed much?
