LOL.

Unrealistic, what if JJ said he would hold a Q & A, would you reject then?! Or multi-task?

Hopefully it wouldn't be a conference call

I just hope for my sake I'm never put in a situation like that. That is a doozy.

With reference to the Modric for £35m + a player ITK from earlier, I'd love it to be this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Álvaro_Morata .

19 year in old their "B" team, 6 foot 3 tall, fantastic goal scoring record in every team he's played for. Looks like he has a big future, but doubt he'll make it at Real Madrid immediately. Could involve some sort of buy back clause.

the Goat does say meeting with a manager which could imply a current manager which would reinforce why it was a secret meeting (and would suggest not AVB, who's not in a job so it wouldn't need to be as secret), but I'm not sure how careful the Goat is with his wording...it could have just meant a prospective manager.

I doubt Blanc would be involved directly in any substantive meetings today with France to play tomorrow.

The best news of all is that someone is being lined up sooner rather than later.

I'd think if we've gone so far as to talk to the candidate, we're pretty sure they're interested but maybe are still in charge of Euro 2012 side and we are keeping it under wraps out of respect for their current team???

Well, i'd suggest that it was a successfully 'secret' meeting cos none of us regular Joe I-Don't-Knows has a fucking clue who was in it.

Going from the various comments + reports, this meeting appears most likely to be with Blanc, but probably not directly. Either with his representatives, or over some sort of media (Skype? :ROFLMAO:) with Blanc himself.

If the manager was currently engaged in the euros, but open to the possibilty of a new post, it would be expected that they would have briefed their agent as to the minimum requirements. In addition they are not with the squad training 24 hours a day so meetings could, presumably, take place outside of those hours. It is reasonable to assume that a young, fit manager could do that without knackering himself for watching the game the following day!

Sorry, my minds gone Blanc ? NOT ITK.

Everyone keeps talking about blanc but Im sure SSN said Blanc is one of a list of candidates tottenham are currently talking to, so I don't think we are anywhere close to deciding our new manager just yet unless the goat suggest something else

A BBC journalist reported that we sounded out AVB over a phone call today. May have happened on a certain social networking site, but I felt it would be in place here.

Can someone please learn some hacking skills quickly and learn to back into myspace and see what they said.

yes and Ronaldo has paid off half that sum with his goals and sales of his shirts and those goals helping to win the title. so he was worth that to them. now i am a spurs fan and i have watched Modric play like you have too. i am merely saying the ITK was not truelly believeable as he is not worth that much. i accept that you say he is worth what we want for him and what the opposing team is willing to pay.

the issues have been side tracked as i doubted the Goats info on this one firstly and used the price and plus player exchange as being rather questionable. nonetheless were the Goats info to be correct then it would be tidy business on the part of the club BUT i am doubtful that this is indeed the case. i also looked at the Khedira and Ozil signings ( price paid) to inform my decision in this regard. what was it they paid for Alonso when Liverpool were asking a rediculous sp. figure was it 25 million only ??? when liverpool were qouting something like 35 million if i am correct on the numbers, can't be sure though.

The Ronaldo example was used to illustrate my point in that they felt the price worth it based on what value he would bring to the club. As Modric is rated the best in his position in the Prem, and arguably in Europe, then 35 mill would not be unreasonable considering the money they would make from his contribution.

It may well be that he will go for less, especially if another player is included in the deal, but his remaining contract term, and the Levy factor, will mean that we should get maximum value for him, IMO anyway.

We are in unchartered territory here though, as we've never dealt with RM before (selling wise) so it will be interesting to see how we go, especially if others take it to a bidding process.

Bojan scored 100 goals in a cadet a season and banged them in at every youth level. Doesnt mean a whole lot. and the spammers were supposedly after Morata as well
