Great... Don't know much about de Jong but many are saying he is good... All the best talent will be gone by the time we get our act together!!! What's worse is everyone seems to be getting bargains too....

i want Blanc now .. although it will change again tomorrow depending which article i read.
Although i am clearly ( ahem) a expert on all footballing matters im glad im not the one making this choice!

It a great place to be though when we have our pick of decent managers to choose from.

During the highlights of the Spurs v Newcastle game I remember the commentator speculating about Harry leaving for England, and saying "and when the position is available all the best managers around the world will be queuing up for the job."

Obviously that game was the highpoint of the season but it's still very much the case. Couldn't ask for a better platform.

Either that or I'm having one hell of an acid trip. Which is pretty fucked up as I've never done it.

If you'd taken hallucinogens it would have taken you an hour to post that. In fact, I doubt you'd be anywhere near a pc reading nonsense...

...come back jj....

I don't think it was suggesting he copied Guardiola, just that he has a similar ethos - i.e. a possession/attacking based game.

'His ideology is born from the Pep Guardiola school of thinking'

That doesn't suggest he copied Guardiola?

Saha is here for another 12 days only (so is Ade). Kane's more an AM.

Don't forget the mighty Jonathan Obika too. He's actually our best forward at the moment!

Without entering the debate about anything else, I just feel the need to point out that Kane is very much a striker, he just happens to have technique and passing ability. This is backed up by his impressive goal return when moved up front at a poor millwall side.

We may have to buy more than two strikers - it will all depend on the new manager and his prefered tatics - if he is a two up front guy we need three new strikers assuming we don't retain Saha.

This may sound a bit a left field, but if we were to get £35m for Modric, I'd throw Tom Carroll into the team and spend the cash on a striker.

Carroll stood out in the Europa XI we fielded and he was surrounded by kids. If he's gonna develop, it will be by playing with Rafa, Bale and Sandro 'Pain' Ranieri.

Anyway, that's my opinion. Bring on the negs.

If it is suggesting that, I agree it's wrong, I just interpreted it as meaning a similar ethos. I assumed that because Blanc was coaching first team before Guardiola ???
