Donna Cullen has just said that having invested 100s of millions on players over the last few years we have done our major investments. Although the CHAIRMAN(NOTE NOT THE MANAGER)is always looking at opportunities every transfer window.

I don't see how we can't spend. We haven't spent much for quite a while, and have the extra income from the CL last season.

Seriously. They haven't really done much the last two summers. And as I've said before, since Harry brought back players in the relegation winter, we've yet to spend more than 9 million on any one player. And that was Crouch and god knows if we paid a dime as all of our dealing with Portsmouth were tainted with debts being wiped clean.

True, but as someone else pointed out earlier, to keep up with the top four we're going to have to push the boat out a lot more than we have in the last two summers in terms of transfer fees and wages.

Will we? That statement makes me unsure, where yesterday I felt certain we would.

Exactly. As HR has said on many occasions this window, we have to do it now (3 top players) or get left behind.
