so the Jasper post means the head coach remains hostage, in terms of getting the players he wants in, to other clubs meeting levy's asking price for deadwood and the deadwood being willing to go. Probable Poch knew what he was getting himself into, but still... on this basis we will not be able to attract a top coach like LVG or Benitez in the future.

I'm not worried about outgoings, as Everton will pay the money for Lennon - look at the Lukaku scenario. Not like we're asking anything other than fair cop'pings for him either.

I reckon Dembele, Ade, Kaboul, Vlad, Pauli, Capoue and Vorm will all be on the chopping block too (through choice for some). Suspect that Capoue might be the first to go, with Kaboul following. Dembele will no doubt end up at Southampton if we do a deal for Schniederlin - then become a monster. lol

As I understand it re Jaspers post is that the only firm bid we have put in is for Wimmer. We have our 2 lists one in one out that we would like to see happen, lots of discussions with other clubs and agents, but nothing concrete. The "happy" bit is probably because the club feels they are all doable. Please note the £ 30m is on top of any sales and as I said before the club is more interested in reducing wages than cost of individual players e.g even a 20k a week reduction would equal a milli9n saving a year.

Thanks Dovah - not going to tax my little brain on that one. I'll wait for some others to make some scattergun guesses.

In the meantime though all this talk of 30m and targets identified doesn't necessarily mean that the targets are available for that price? There's 3 prices - the sellers price, the real price and Spurs price. In theory I could well identify 3 or 4 players I'd want at Spurs within this price frame but in reality they'll probably cost double that! Also stating £30m makes me feel uneasy - especially when MS could cost the majority of that.

For what it's worth, the main Portuguese newspapers said that Benfica people were in London to have talks about selling Gaitan to a PL club.

I thought Salvio had a high chance of going to Valencia and I can't see why Gaitan would go to United with them signing Depay...

You never know...

I bet they have third-party ownerships though.
